I often use frozen meats. What is the difference of defrosting the meat with heat as opposed to how you would normally defrost it? And the temperature gets up there to keep it safe. I have several slow cooker cook books (and 4 different cookers) but my favorite cook book is "Make it Fast, Cook it Slow". The author used her cooker for 356 days in a row and captured all the recipes. Great ideas for busy people.

The books are on my Amazon wish list. I really must use my slow cooker more often.
