5:2 Diet Recipes

Green Bean Stew.470 cals per portion (makes 2 large,filling bowls) or
Use 1 tablespoon of olive oil and it is 260 cals per portion
500grams tender green beans, topped and tailed.
Good glug or four of olive oil
Chopped garlic to taste (I use lots)
fresh or canned tomatoes, must be ripe, about two cans (400 grams size)
salt, pepper, allspice and cinnamon to taste

Heat the oil in a large pan and saute garlic and green beans for about five minutes before adding tomatoes and spices and simmer until nice thick consistency (about 30 mins) Nice with rice or peasant style hearty bread.

Mmm, sounds great! I know it's a feast day recipe but would you mind adding the calorie count per serving to the title and the V symbol, to help people searching for recipes? That would be great, thanks.
Just up my street - I love green beans and they are available at the weekly farmer's market. Looking forward to trying this recipe but I will use much less olive oil!
