Me. too!
And again !
Hi all,
I Have The Hunger games trilogy and Kate Mosse's Citadel to read before starting the November book club choice. I would like to read at least 3 on the list.

I loved 'Half of a yellow sun' and am currently reading 'The garden of evening mists' also very good. Some great choices there.
Just bumping this up, as there seem to be a lot of folk on the forum this morning!
... Just 2 days left - get your vote in before Halloween!!
There are a lot of selections here that I want to read, whether they are the November book or not.
But I read Gone Girl, and was quite disappointed, thought it was superficial and somewhat predictable.
The one about Ove seems to be unavailable in English in the US, if Amazon is any indication.

Just voted, many thanks. I didn't read any of Octobers books as we were away too much but I have already downloaded my choice and it looks like the winner anyway,

This is about the third Anne Tyler book I've read and I think it might be the last. Not a fan. This one feels like a superficial character study, and has virtually no plot.
Well I'm pleased to see that "Gone Girl" is in the lead as my sister wanted me to join her book club and they will be reading this one too. So I can cover two clubs with one read...hoorah! (I'd just like to point out that my sister recently emigrated to Canada so I will only be discussing it with her...and you guys. Look forward to a good read (hopefully )

Don't feel obliged to finish it @rawkaren if it's not doing it for you - one thing I used to encourage people to do when I ran reading groups was not to feel they had to finish a book if they didn't like it or it was a struggle. For most people, it,s a reminder of having to read books to the end at school or college - comparison here with dieting / points counting!! It's a relief when you can give it up!
