Righty oh, then, who's going to help with all the 'virtual' preparations, jobs to do? Luckily for you lot, I put the sprouts on to boil on Boxing day 2012, after 10 minutes in the microwave, so they'll be ready

Go on then. I'll do the cocktails......
I'm happy to sort the crackers as they are not too heavy to lift. And I'm a stickler for good quality ones, with nice gifts inside.
I bagsie the sommelier so it looks like Rawkaren and I are a team and I suppose we could the after dinner bit as wellI if that's OK with Karen. I think Julie should be volunteered as the entertainer and I'm sure fat dog and Izzy can do us proud with the foodie bits.
Oh, I'm getting quite excited now, can't wait, AND it's the Strictly semi final tonight, oh goodness me I must calm down now,

For a moment there I thought you meant the biscuit type crackers

Ballerina x
I don't mind peeling the spuds - then I don't have to make any decisions, I hate choosing for other people.

If we are still sober [hic] by the end of the meal  so after dinner might be a bit haphazard. @coffeetime, you are a star for peeling the spuds. We will make sure you have extra cocktails...

Turkey stuffer
Don't know why, I find it soothing
I'm up for setting the table. Which side does the fork go on again?
Put me and my sweet tooth down for the puds ;)
I'll do the veg
are you sure the sprouts will be ready, Penny?
see, I just eat the trimmings, being veggie.
And who's doing the kilted sausages and bread sauce?
Not on the list but I can run in ever decreasing circles and panic a bit, which means that the rest of you can calmly get on with things.
Can i do the music then if thats not taken?

i love a bit of DJing :-)
Me? An entertainer, hopefully you were thinking about another Julie, though I could volunteer hubby, he's a really good DJ.
I can do the starters if no one else has picked that job.

I'm having a mini Camembert baked in the oven with whole garlic cloves stuffed into it. That and some crusty bread (I will deal with the IBS later).

Hubby is having a chinese style chicken and ginger soup. Subject to change.

The two lads are undecided and I still don't know if my daughter can make it for Christmas dinner.

But the recipe books are out and being drooled over.
