Re: A Big Thank You

Just got back from the 'keep fat' Christmas get together and had a really great time. One of the ladies there is on 5:2 and LOVES it, she has lost over 2 stone after she was threatened with medication earlier this year, 5:2 totally prevented that as everything improved dramatically.

I agree that this an amazing bunch of people and feel very privileged to be a part of it, hope next year is as much fun and as informative, MERRY CHRISTMAS to you all,

Much love,

Ballerina x

Dear Wine O'Clock,

Merry Christmas. I have found not too many not-nice people on here. In fact none at all so here's my Christmas present to you all. Haven't thought about Dick Emery in nearly 40 years.

Especially for @CandiceMarie, @callyanna and @Wineoclock and anyone else that might remember. Go to 2'05" for your favourite.

Happy Christmas to you @Wineoclock
Its nice that we all share different things/ideas/advice/moods
5:2 brings us all together in the end and a great place to be.

I concur with Wino, I have never been on any forum before, but this one is brilliant. It is a huge source of fun, information and general strangeness!

Thank you @wineoclock for starting this thread. I also want to add my thanks to you all. I could not have come this far without your guidance, support and fun. Wherever and whenever I travel, I take you all with me on my ipad and somehow it still feels like I'm at 'home' when I log in. I'm happy to be one of the weird ones too.  .

Merry Christmas to you all and a happy fasting 2014. :victory:  :victory:

As I said a bit earlier, without this place, this safe heaven, I wouldn't have gone as far as I have been. It's also surprising I have things in common with women, the biggest shock of all !!!! :rotfl:

Happy Holidays to everyone  :victory:

I'm definitely in the crazy gang. I've been here just over 6months now, (6 month fastiversary was day before my op, so missed it :frown: )
Anyhow, @Wineoclock and everyone else, we all have a common goal, which places us into our very own special club. Never been on a forum before either. So glad I signed up on 3rd June. :reindeer:

I wholeheartedly agree with you all!
This is a fab 'club' and has helped me to stay focused (when the stomach is growling and I need some chocolate!)
Am pleased that I'm almost at my goal weight and will take a break for two weeks now.
Wishing Everyone a Happy Christmas and continued success on 5:2 in 2014.

A big thank you from me too. Who would have thought a year or more ago that we would be here, finding friends from all over the world and all sharing the same hopes of a slimmer self and a healthier lifestyle - and achieving or nearly achieving just that.

I'm so glad that I am part of this forum and wish all of the wonderful people here a Merry Christmas and a Happy Healthy New Year.

Oh dear I am outed my weirdness has been noticed, ... luckily I have always been drawn to the eccentric so is that why I fit so well here?

Thanks too @wineoclock for starting this thread, I just happened to be saying today I always fell off the diet wagon before, since finding 5:2 and then this forum 8 months ago I have been able to persist and am very close to maintenance. So I am forever grateful for the company I am keeping here. I like you foibles and all

I too wish from our house to yours a very merry Christmas (go on you know you can do it) and may 2014 be filled with friendly scales, shrinking measurements especially of the flabby bits, fabulous fasts more fun and frivolity and that we can all sustain this WOL & WOE.

Yes the forum is helpful, interesting, supportive and great fun, thanks to all you lot. As to the intelligent or strange/crasy distinction: I think many of us would qualify as a 'NIPWiSSOH' (Nice Intelligent Person With Some Sense Of Humor)
