but most of all I want my husband not to be grumpy over the festive season.

Definitely the last one!! :like:

Me too @Merlin

I hope to see all of my family on Christmas day but that won't be possible, my son's ex will never let him have my granddaughter to stay at Christmas, but last year he was allowed to see her for a couple of hours. For the rest of the year she stays with him every other weekend and Friday night/Saturday morning sometimes on the other weekends - but never at Christmas. We usually see my daughter and my other grandchildren at Christmas if they don't go to her partner's family for the holiday season.

Always difficult for extended families at this time of year but as long as they enjoy themselves then I'll be happy wherever they are.

As for pressies, I'm not fussed, I prefer small gifts. I always get a surprise from hubby, lots of furtive phone calls between him and my daughter before the big day. His heart is in the right place but he often turns into Mr Grump or Mr Angry by lunchtime.

So 'All I want for Christmas is ...' Peace and Happiness.
