Any fellow horsey fasters out there. I find my two four legged friends a great help on fast days as an extra bit of grooming etc can make a good hour or two pass without thinking of my 500cal evening meal lol.

Nicky xx
hi Nicky

am not a horsey faster am afraid but I do love horses lol!!
I live in Deal, Kent in the countryside and there quite a few stables around here.. I would really like to learn to ride only I am absolutely terrified, stupid I know but its a real fear lol!!

anyway good luck with your fast and enjoy the horses :-)
Hi Angie

You should go to a riding school as their horses will get you over that fear (make sure you tell the instructors so they pair you with a complete dope on a rope lol). They are such a pleasurable additional to your life I can vouch for that. :).

Good luck with your week too xx
MEEEE! Poo-picking for my four burns off loads of lovely calories every day!!! And if I slink off to the yard on a fasting day, I can't get to my fridge ;)
Hi Domane

Yes the poo picking is definitely a workout in itself isn't it lol. I love how you can spend so much time with them without even thinking of food.

Gotta love the hairy mud monsters xxx

Thank you for that Nicky!

I may just do that lol, i have always wanted to ride, at least once lol... Will make enquiries and see :-)

Happy fasting xx
Let me know how you get on hun it is always good to try new things especially if you really want to do it xx
I used to have a lovely old palomino gelding who passed away a couple of months back  (aged 31). Our fields are looking rather empty at the moment but I don't feel up to looking for a new equine pal at the moment. In the meantime we will let out the field to our neighbours for their sheep.

I have to settle for communing with the chickens rather than the horse on a fast day now...

:frown: Poor you I bet you miss him loads. My eldest is 21 so hoping he will keep going for another 10 years like yours.

I have a 21 year old Connemara gelding called Casper who is 14:2 (a little bugger) and a 13 year old Shire x TB Midnight 16:2 who is a complete delight and one of the loves of my life xxx
