Hi and welcome! Always great to meet a fellow crazy cat lady!
I'd have 100 if I could :)

Unfortunately my furbaby Phoebe isn't sociable with fellow felines and at 16 & with kidney disease (recently diagnosed, poor dear) we daren't risk upsetting her with any new additions. I'm in no hurry for the sad sad day to come, but after that there will be at least 8 if not 12 little paws padding around the house.

Don't have many good pics here on my tablet but will post more from my desk soon. I love Feebs with every fibre of my being, I've known her since her second day on this earth and she means more to me than anything.

Yours are gorgeous by the way :) are they brother & sister?

I am a cat lover, sadly a very allergic one so not even Cornish Rex worked. In my youth a did look after my sis cat while heavily seduced on antihistamine of that time. Oh my, I could have had several of them….Luckily I do stand dogs and have three of them - two Rhodesian Ridgeback girls and one Jack Russel boy, who think he is smaller version of RR ;)

Lovely to meet you @Moogie Gee, I hope your little one is not in any distress. Feebs will be in my thoughts and prayers. My last cat (a russian blue) had to be put to sleep at age 17 due to facial cancer (RIP Milly). It nearly killed me. So if you need any advice on caring for a terminally ill fur-baby or you just need an ear because the thought of losing her gets overwhelming please message me anytime.
Jake and Ruby are not brother and sister but might as well be! Ruby was 6 months old when I got Jake. He was taken away from his mother at just 4 weeks of age (ie: too young!) to be sold by a disreputable petshop. He now suffers from bad anxiety and I am the only human he has let touch him since I bought him home. I'm like you in that I would have as many cats as I could afford if Jake would tolerate other cats. But Ruby is the only other cat he will let near him. I fear what he would do if I tried to introduce another cat into the mix. He'd be heart-broken and feel b etrayed I know that much. Thanks for your post. Your baby is adorable

Sumi-chan and Mimei-chan are in my avatar. They're about 2.5 years now. They're my first cats. I grew up with dogs, but my schedule makes dogs difficult.

Sumi and Mimei are from the same litter (a litter of 14, with 10 survivors). Sumi means ink and charcoal in Japanese. Mimei means almost sunrise. Sumi has what I always think of as a classic cat personality: a bit aloof. She doesn't really like to be pet, but will curl up beside me sometimes. She shows her affection by shaking her tail. It's adorable. Mimei acts like a cat who was taken from her mother too soon, but she wasn't. She is so needy. She loves to be pet (by me, anyway) and purrs a lot. She is sweet and doesn't wake me up in the morning, but waits for me to move and then pounces. She's a bit of a fraidy cat. Her latest hiding place is under the duvet (i.e., she's not too bright haha). I love them to bits and can't imagine how I survived so many years without them.

Another cat lover here, and Sammy and Lucy do help out when I'm fluttering around our empty nest. But just to lower the cute index of this thread a bit, I give you...
Lucydevil (not photoshopped - it just came out this way!).

It's fair to say that we did not set out to have another cat, but Archie was found abandoned in a factory yard, so not the best start in life. The girls in the office put him in a photocopier box and he was in a dreadful state. OH took him out of the box and he sat at his feet, and lo, he had chosen his daddy. The first picture shows what he looked like when he decided to take us on, and now he is a very big boy (tall - can open door handles and weighs 6.5kg!)

This is my sleepy Rusty, 14 years old and a bit arthritic but he still likes to go 'hunting' in the garden and nearby fields - he prefers mice and voles to birds but he rarely catches anything these days. He is the most soft cuddly boy - unless he's been out in the rain!

A big thank you to @Silverdarling for posting the instructions in another thread in an easy to understand way.

Oh boy am I a cat lover !! Have always had cats .... I love their sense of independence (a bit like me really) - and my kids say that as I get older I'm going to be the batty old lady at the end of the road that owns dozens of cats  Sounds a plan to me... but hubby's not too keen on the idea at the moment, but don't worry he'll come round to the idea. My current cats (only 2) are Abyssinians - the grey one thinks she's a dog... follows me round and talks to me all the time - and always insists on having the last word. The reddish one has a mind of her own (don't they all) and an opinion on everything! The grey one has beautiful markings, grey on the top and then a cream coloured underside. The reddish one has similar markings and her underside is a wonderful hue of red (wish my hair was that colour) - almost got the colouring of a fox. Sorry - can you tell I'm besotted!!

So many beautiful kitties !
Here is a picture of my kitty, Beth. This is her last litter. Shortly after they were weaned she was neutered and I adopted her. She's now six and a half and an absolute treasure. Such a sweet natured cat. Never raises her paw in anger unless it's to kill a toy! I think she looks a bit bemused in this photo.
