Bad day
04 Oct 2013, 16:33
Had such a bad day at work... a homeless man called me a 'bitch' amongst other things because I woke him up. I am just so angry, I am not allowed to shout and swear back at him. After 5 years working in a public library, you would think I'd be used to it, but it still really upsets me.

DH and the boys are away for the weekend running a Cub Camp, so no-one to vent to! Have a couple of DVDs to watch and poured myself a large glass of wine! Hope I can manage to shift this black mood...

Oh I'm so sorry to hear that SecondAlto, I used to work in housing years ago and can remember how sad and frustrating some days could be. It's horrible when people speak to you like that and you're only trying to do your job after all. It takes some cool not to retaliate!

I hope you have a lovely evening and enjoy the DVD and glass or 2 of vino. It will all seem much better tomorrow. :clover:

Sorry to hear that. I have had a crap day too and I'm fasting. Please enjoy that glass of wine and I hope you feel better in the morning.

Enjoy your wine, draw a line under today and start afresh tomorrow. I started with a bad day feeling, came on here for support, got sorted out a treat. Now I am also looking forward to a glass of red. Have a peaceful evening.

I work in a shop and it seems to me that the more you try to help people the more they are horrible to you but every now and then people take you by surprise by handing in something to have with your cuppa.

My daughter is having a bad day - she was at the orthodontist today getting two braces fitted. Her initial apprehension and excitement has turned into aches and pain and in 3 weeks time she has her clarinet exam!

A big hug for everyone having a bad day (mine hasn't been great either)

Wildmissus - my older daughter had braces fitted a week before an oboe exam (many years ago now) and she did well :) And as this is an anonymous forum, I can tell you that exam was also the day her first period started! Poor thing - not a day she'll forget, but the certificate is extra cherished now!

Can't find a smilie for a group hug, but the thought's there! xx

Sorry to hear you have had a bad day. Try to put it behind you and don't let a nasty person spoil your evening.

Enjoy your wine - I am well down my first glass and the second beckons...

Second Alto and everybody else having a bad day - sending some Swedish hugs and up that wine with a glass or two. I surely need more than two

On Wednesday my boss sent out an email telling us that she was to be attending a class on how to "manage difficult talks with a professional attitude"!! Hmm, how about telling us in so many words that she is going to have the talk of the talks...and letting people go??? So friggin unprofessional if you ask me. First tell people there will be cut downs (outsourcing) and then invite the personnel to individual talks....

Hope you feel bit better now after the messages and hugs and some vino.

I hope you are feeling better now, just remember not to take on the hate that the homeless man was carrying - its not your burden and has zero reflection on you. Though.. if it was a fasting day you have every right to be a B.. heehee When wine doesnt cut it, i suggest wine in the bath with candles, music and a book. It helps block out any real life crappyness.

Take care, karma will bring you something lovely.

Or hug the dog, if you have one!
