Hi SianS,

I did publish as promised but for some reason the mods put it straight into 'inspirational stories' which meant it was not open to comments so you will have to go looking for it. Look under 'BALLERINA'S BIRTHDAY BANDAGE BASH' and you will find it.

It looked to me like that was where it got posted, as I spotted it in the queue for approval there!
Thanks for that Thalia!

Still laughing
Hi Ballerina,

I found it OK and loved reading 'BALLERINA'S BIRTHDAY BANDAGE BASH' :like:
Properly addictive, this forum. I check it first in the morning, last thing at night and often in the middle of the day like now, when I'm meant to be doing serious, grown-up things on the computer. I'd never been on a forum before this so it's all a bit new to me. I reckon it's like having an affair only without the collateral damage

Thing is, in addition to the fun & laughter, this forum's given me so much support and so many great ideas - I know I'd have given up long ago without it, particularly on this bleeping bleeping BLEEPING plateau (5 weeks now).

Long may the affair continue  (preferably without the bleeping, bleeping .... yeah, you get the idea)!

Meanwhile, back to serious, grown-up things. Sigh!
Like everyone else, I'm addicted too, especially on fast days a couple of hours before dinner!!!! When the forum has been down a few times for maintenance, I start getting withdrawal symptoms!!

And to think I used to complain to my husband when he was staring at Facebook all the time waiting for one of his "friends" to post or "like" something.
I am blaming this forum for the fact that I am still writing the same piece of coursework 5 weeks on...and no signs of finishing. I am single-handedly turning procrastination into a new art form! I love the forum - it's keeping me on the straight and narrow with fasting and helping me not mind too much that, thanks to my wine habit, the weight loss is veeery slow.
Mmm my ironing pile is ever increasing.... Just.........can't ........tear myself.........away..........no.......must resist........no more............meh, it'll still be there tomorrow :)
I, too, spend an enormous amount of time on this forum, time which I could be using on other activities. When I start to think like that though, I ask myself if I retired to do the things that I 'should' do, or the things that I 'want' to do. The Forum wins every time!
OMG...me too...this is my first forum and I don't know how anyone could managing participating in more than one. My challenge is I usually get on with my ipad when I hit the bed at night. And the 2 hours zip by and it jeopardizing my ability to pop out of bed in the morning for steps before work.

You all bring smiles to my face and I wish I knew you in person...although maybe we wouldn't be such good "truth" tellers for each other then.

I've also found some of the best chatter takes place when the UK starts in the mornings. It's pretty quiet by the time I get on at night in the U.S....maybe some of you could set your alarms for a 3 a.m. post session:)
Definitely addictive. Good job I have retired!
Minsmum, have you not done that ironing yet?

Ballerina x
Ballerina I have perfected the art of iron in one hand iPad in the other!
WOW, respect!!!!! I usually type with one hand and have a glass of wine in the other but hey, I like what you do
