In this season of giving, many a shop person will find it easy to give less change than is due, often by using many copper coins, moving from you to the next customer very rapidly etc
It can be a genuine mistake.
It can also be easy money, so please check your change is right and challenge when it's short, it only takes a second, and they will make a face and a fuss but will have to correct the error.
The more this pernicious robbery is shown up the more we can stamp it out.

Remember to check and challenge

On a different note entirely, this week I have learned that gravity varies across our wonderful planet by up to 40%, has two variations on the UK alone.
I have often said gravity is acting lighter or heavier and now find it's actually TRUE!

Also I have learned that time is individually variable, another feature I have genuinely experienced but thought it was just me being a bit woowoo. But no it's TRUE!

Isn't science fab :0)

I was quite excited by the implications of a 40% variation in gravity and was surprised I had not noticed it in my travels, so I googled and was disappointed to discover that the 40% is the difference between the variation scientists have recently documented and their previous estimates! In fact the variation is only 0.7% :-(
Oh ok but sometimes things do seem intent on falling to the ground more readily than others!

Me, usually! I had a very unfortunate incident recently with one of those flip up seats on a shuttle bus. I half got up, as I was sitting on my Goretex, and when I sat down, there was no seat - ouch!!

As long as it's not your knickers!
Oooooooooooh!!

Erm no. Usually something less likely to bounce than shatter ... :0/
The short change thing seems to be a national pass time here (spain). Because I'm English, for some reason they don't think I can count in euros. It's not happened to me in the uk but it happens here way too often to be mistakes.

Indeed it's common, from aldi to M&S and all stations in between I have been done over, checked, challenged, re-imbursed. Older women taken to be more easily diddled perhaps?
