And this is it - too young for my 59 year old bod? Too bright?

Size 2! You're making me feel fat!
That dress is really pretty! I don't think it looks too young or too bright.
I'm finally wearing my Tokyo trousers. They need hemming, but I've worn them with boots with a bit of a heel, so I'm getting away with it. Actually, I might just leave them like this. It makes my legs look longer.

I'll be quite happy if I can buy mostly size 4 forever. Keep in mind that I'm probably half a foot - at least - shorter than you, @MaryAnn!
Glad you like the dress. Nearly everything I looked at was ugly. What's wrong with clothing designers, anyway?

I tend to see too many things I like or nothing.
Very pretty @wendyjane! I think it looks perfect, and will look better with you in it. Do you think you can take a selfie or have your daughter take a pic with you in it?
Looks as if it will be stunning with you in it @wendyjane...agree we need a pic!
Meanwhile, inspired by this thread and the Christmas clothes thread, I went to a dress exchange (a second-hand designer clothes shop where the original owner gets some money on the sales) and 'invested' in a rather funky tunic/dress to be worn with leggings/skinny jeans that I think will look OK on me (and not mutton-dressed-as-lamb) for Xmas day. I may wear it out to a meal tomorrow evening and if so will try to persuade OH to take a photo. (Oh, and, of course, I also had to 'invest' in a few other things that caught my attention like a fab faux-fur lined suede jacket by Betty Barclay, a boucle cardigan/jacket type thing and, naturally, some skinny jeans to go with the tunic affair! )

Lovely new outfit choices @wendyjaneand @carorees. Now we want the pics to see them being modelled to perfection!
yes, pictures, please, ladies I'll try to remember to do one in my Tokyo skirt, which I am wearing today.
Well thanks, all. Had fun tonight - I brought the dress to the restaurant and tried it on in the restroom for my daughters and their roommate. All three approved of it, as did a random woman who told me I should leave it on! (um, not with the ankle socks and tie up shoes I was wearing with my jeans, sorry...)
As soon as I hit goal, I'll post a pic or two. Should be soon. But I'm worried about potentially showing my face to the Bad People lurking on forums everywhere! I'm serious - it seems utterly ridiculous - but I live with a computer professional who is concerned about the increasing risks to our privacy ("our" in a societal sense). So maybe I'll take them neck-down. Or wear a mask.
@Betsysgr8, you and I have talked about this before, when I was contemplating whether to list my location in my profile. There's a fine line between common sense and paranoia and I may well be crossing it... I know some forum members are fine with using their first and last names, and probably that choice will never be a problem.
Whew! Sorry to get so far off track on this thread
It's so fun to see the pics of everyone in their new bodies and new clothes

Someone's progress pics recently had them holding the iPad they were taking the picture with in a way that hid their face. Very clever. I can't wait to see your pic
