All safe here in my neighborhood, and almost all safe in the town. But everyone with a basement has lost everything that was down there, and are having to gut their basements, removing everything including the drywall. Mold is a huge concern. If there is a silver lining in a disaster like this one, it's that people really do band together. On our street we've been having dinners and showering and doing laundry at the houses of the less affected. Fortunately I'm one of those. On Monday I made dinner for 16, pretty much on the spur of the moment. A fast day, and though I ate a good sized dinner, I skipped breakfast and lunch, and ended up feeling like I'd done a pretty good job. Am accepting congratulations

Thanks for posting Wendyjane. Sounds like you have been exceptionally busy. Its funny how things like this really can bring people together - even virtual strangers sometimes. However I cant even begin to imagine to think about how folks are dealing with the aftermath. Hugs to you.
Thanks for the update @wendyjane. We'd been talking about you guys yesterday, saying how our moaning about the weather is so trivial In comparison.
Well done with the resisting food and cooking for so many!
