I haven't seen anything on the news about Fort Collins but it seems they are having severe flooding there as well. I have family in Fort Collins and have yet to hear how they are getting on.
Your disaster has made it onto the news networks here today. Please stay safe. Sending positive thoughts.
I lived in Boulder for 40 years so have been following the news closely. All my friends still living there are OK and didn't suffer any flood damage. Most of the dramatic pictures are actually the result of good flood planning by the City of Boulder, rushing water in drainage channels (used at bike paths during normal/dry periods they were meant to be flooded during major storms. There was street flooding and many homes and apartments were damaged, north Boulder in particular. But compared to surrounding communities Boulder survived quite well considering that many are calling this a 500 year flood/weather event.
Let's just hope they don't get any more storms over the next week and have a chance to dry out.

All my thoughts for you and your state. It's raining since this morning here but nothing compare to what you are going through
Stay safe

Saw the pictures on the news a short while ago - it looks horrendous. Hope it stops raining soon and you all stay safe. Best of luck.
So sorry to hear about the flooding. It certainly puts my little moan about the weather earlier in perspective.
Sending positive thoughts and wishes across the ocean.
Stay safe.

Hope you are all safe. Sending best wishes your way.
Love & prayers are with you. We are fortunate to be only imagining what you are suffering
Love and best wishes to stay safe and well. Love Colorado, please get through this
I'm here too, in Boulder County. I know several families who have been evacuated and are not allowed back into their homes. There isn't a single mountain road for miles that doesn't have big chunks taken out because of the flooding. There is literally no access to the mountain towns or Rocky Mountain National Park right now. My husband works for one of the cities affected and he's been gone nearly 24/7 since Thursday.
I've never seen anything like this. Here's video of my town, this is taken just a couple of blocks from my house. http://thelede.blogs.nytimes.com/2013/0 ... do-floods/

And it's raining again today. Huge piles of discarded belongings in the driveways of all the houses across the street. We have no basement, just a dirt crawl space, so we're among the lucky. By tonight it's forecast to be all finished.

I'm so sorry to see the flooding devastation on the news here & I hope that everyone stays safe. We have rain & wind here now but nothing like you are experiencing. My thoughts & good wishes are with you.
Wondering how you all are and if you and loved ones are safe.
