Yes - I'm of the same opinion, and a dermatologist said the same to me years ago. I use Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish, which is very nice on the skin, without being too heavy. they have a good range of moisturisers too. I also suffer from rosacea, and occasionally have to take oral medication, but I agree about the topical creams, Marybeth. However, these are sometimes the only way to deal with bad spots and red bumps without resorting to systemic medication. I have found the Liz Earle stuff helps here as well, but don't know if this is available in the States.

I think the cetaphil and this WOE really has helped my psoriasis

Thank you all so much for all of your replies!

The rosacea is just a new thing with me. Like I said it's mainly on my cheeks and I haven't been prescribed anything for it. I was just recommended to take vitamin c supplements and cut down on spicy foods. The dryness has always been a bit of a problem though and I think it's possibly genetic! The worst place is the very tip of my nose, which is beyond embarrassing!!

Cetaphil is available in Ireland as I've just discovered so I might just start there and hope for the best!

Janie there is a thread on rosacea somewhere on here. If you've not had it before, it's worth getting it checked out - if your GP is no help (and a lot aren't, they tend to be well-meaning but don't know a lot about anything skinwise which isn't common or garden) try and get to see a dermo.
Rosacea is a funny one, not like acne, with which it is often yoked (and confused with) - it is totally different, and especially if you start suffering it later on in life. Worth nagging until you get to see a specialist. Good luck. :clover: :clover:

This is going to sound silly coming from a guy but you may want to try using goat's milk soap. We've been getting some natural soap at a local craft market. Local stuff made and sold locally.

Using non-commercial soap has helped my dry skin clear right up.

This is what I've been using.

I'm certain you can find something similar where you live.

A quick google search came up with this. I hope this helps.

Natural fat woe and a touch of Ponds cream does it for me. (sorry I know its unconventional but it works for me) keeps it simple.
