Following on from the thread on anti-ageing products, did anyone else watch the programme on (UK) Channel 4 last night about the Fabulous Fashionistas?

Rather to my relief, it wasn't entirely, or even mostly about fashion (I'm not much into fashion, to put it mildly). It's about ageing happily and fabulously. And SO inspirational! I grinned most of the way through the programme. If this is old age, bring it on!

Pity the group weren't more mixed (6 white women) but it's a good start, I reckon.

There's a little YouTube trailer here

Or if you're in the UK, you can watch the programme on 4OnDemand (4OD) on a computer or on TV if you've got access to catch-up TV. I loved it - recommend it highly.
Yes, I saw it! And how wonderful it was too! So very inspiring! Really fabulous...recommend it most highly to anyone who didn't catch it.
Hopefully it might be repeated also on 4seven ...
... Yes it's on 4seven 8pm on Sunday ... will make a note to watch
Wasn't it great?! I've got a few cookery books by Sue Kreitzman, the very colourful lady featured but didn't recognise her in her present career as artist. It was a really inspiring programme for us 'oldies'.
Loved seeing such feisty older women doing their own thing and (I thought) looking amazing. So refreshing to see true individuals instead of the usual face-lifted, silicone filled images that are held up to us as something to aspire to :curse:
Thanks for the review!
Was wondering whether to look for this on 4 OnDemand..deffo will now!
Sounds good! X
Sounds like it was a great program- I want to see it!
Any way to watch it online? :?:
Yes Shachat. Thank you on the follow up to anti aging products. I think doing 52 for me is really about gaining a feeling of vitality. I have been looking forward to the second half of my life now that the children are raised. My responsibility to them is now different and its finally me time. There is so much I have dreamed of doing. As for aging I don't mind grey hair and the eventual crinkly wrinkles but I do mind loss of eyesight, balance, flexibility etc. I wonder whose genes I got. The long lived or the short lived. I am glad I am not twenty anymore as I am so much better now like the fine wine! I quess I do want to do the things of my youth like ski and ice skate, travel and have FUN!
Gigi, here's the link to 4OD (Channel 4's catch-up service). What I don't know is whether it can be accessed outside UK.

Clairemarie, I'm with you on the fun! I seem to remember a thread here some time ago on Bucket Lists - lists of things people would like to do before they kick the bucket. :)
I have recorded it & will watch it this evening but saw two of them interviewed on BBC Breakfast show last week & thought they were wonderful.
rats, not available in the US.
