All outwards irritating my sciatic nerve on the left hand side of the lower half of my body, so I get pain in the lower left part of my back, left buttock, left thigh.

I have sciatica too
Its horrible :(
Mine only started in later life,feel for you having it so young x

Have you tried the McKenzie Technique - google it and see what you think. I swear by it - I had back problems for years and it was the only thing that worked for me. :clover:

I get a good massage once a month by a sports therapist. She is actually the instructor in sports therapy and a few other disciplines at the local college. She doesn't go anywhere near the neck, but can take out the tensions and muscle cramps that plague me because of muscle spasms.,Plus she re-aligns my pelvic girdle each time as well to stop the sciatica.
Its another path to look at.

I've never heard of that before Dhana, but I will most certainly get in contact with one of their therapists, can't hurt to give them a visit.
Is the treatment expensive? I had physio and Pilates at the hospital and they have both made my problems worse. Is it anything like physiotherapy?

I couldn't have anyone touch my back, it would have me screaming in pain :/

Hi Daydreamer,

Firstly... :heart: ...and secondly.... :heart: :heart:

I suffer from sciatica but it sounds like a walk in the park compared to what you are going through so you really do have my heartfelt sympathy. You have had lots of good advice from the others and there is nothing I can add except.... :heart: :heart: :heart: ....and another.... :heart:.... for good measure,

Take care of yourself and keep us posted, oh, and I was the original SLOW starter on 5:2 I made your average tortoise look like speedy gonzales but I got there in the end so just stick with it, you will succeed, honest
