@madcatlady This thread has been on my mind since working away this week and struggling to get decent food. I have just downloaded a book called The Plan by Lyn Genet Recitas. The hypothesis is about foods that create inflammation in different people and cause you to hang onto the last few pounds. I bought it because she mentions foods like asparagus and beans which I reacted to in my test. She mentions other common foods that people can unwittingly react to, like oatmeal and salmon, yet these things are healthy.

There is a 20 day plan that helps you identify what might be causing the inflammation. You have to weigh daily :bugeyes:

IgE not G surely? IgE is the class of antibody that causes allergic reactions. IgE binds to the receptors on mast cells triggering release of histamine which causes the symptoms of itching and inflammation.
