Hip Hurray
13 Jul 2014, 12:28
Saw the orthopedic surgeon on Tuesday and he said that my hip is the worse they have seen in ages - there are even splinters lost out of the femoral head
Good thing - the doc is a marvel, he does round 400 of these operations each year and - they gave me there very first slot there was (apologizing for not having one earlier) on Sept.1. So Hip Hurray - I'm gonna get a new hip and be as good as new:)

Oldest son was here for some days and just left to go back home. He is such an amazing young man  and it is fun to talk to him - we hanged out in the pool discussing all from movies to partying LOL.At 18 you have the right to party me thinks.

Have a lovely Sunday.

Wow thank goodness you have a date and all shall be well :0)
My dodgy hip/knee/ankle continue to ache after a couple of miles walking, used to manage five without a problem. I'm sure part of my weight gain is down to reduced distance and more need to sit. I suppose at some point the doc will decide the time has come!

Thank you all for cheering and caring, it means a lot

The pain comes and goes, some days I think the femur will come out of the buttcheek, others I can walk without the cane. Strange. Went and had my very first pedicure ever. Just had to since I can't reach the toenails on the right foot and The DH never will get going.

Since I am prone to anxiety, I 'm already geared up with nervous flutters even though it is 7 weeks to go. How utterly silly....such a waste of energy. Not that I need my energy for very much more than household chores and laying on the porch swing , can't sit more than a couple of minutes at a time the sewing machine.

But, I managed to fast all day yesterday (but had dinner) - it's hard not to eat when you are doing nothing more than reading LOL. Luckily the weather is great and the pool is nice. Have a lovely weekend all.

Had a 30-day older friend do that quite recently. Hopefully yours is also a painfree one time, one side cure.

My father has replaced one hip, both knees and a shoulder in the last couple of years. I've already told him that when he's gone, we're going to have him melted down into a Smart car powered by his hearing aid batteries.
