Sudoku? Crosswords? Mahjong on the computer? I find puzzles addictive!

Interesting thought about boredom. I almost never get bored, even when I'm not working (I freelance so work tends to be erratic). I put this down to being an only child - I had to keep myself entertained and be self-sufficient from a very early age. What do others think? Anything in this theory?

I agree with you about being an only child and being self sufficient. I rarely do get bored, but today was that day!

Masses of positive suggestions here; I read a lot when we're in the caravan over weekends and have some great books queued on my tablet. I'll investigate some puzzles too.
I've also researched our local U3A and think that will suit me down to the ground.
So, what did I do this afternoon? I did some photography, that's what!

Any other suggestions also gratefully received.

Have you considered taking up jogging or cycling? You have lost so much weight and if your health is ok they're great hobbies. You can do it at times it suits you and don't have to take big chunks of time.

I'm never bored, but I'm not an only child. Take up social or political action. The world is in a mess. Join the local Green Party.

what about joining a book club with like minded people? Have you got a dog (I notice on your profile pic) do more walks (you always meet people along the way).

If you can afford it what about a pay as you go fitness class - I go to Zumba once a week (only £4.50 and worth every penny as we have such a laugh not to mention getting fit!) or failing that get a fitness/yoga DVD and do it at home.

As long as you don't succumb to mind numbing daytime TV AKA Jeremy Kyle you should be OK LOL (apologies to those of you who watch him !)
