Re: I didn't want to know

I always thought the weight thing was about knowing how much blood they could take...not sure where I got that thought. Mind you, for much of my blood-giving life I've just made up a figure when they asked since I never owned scales for a long time.

Sorry that it put you in a bad place @Zamale...it's not fair when doing something good makes us feel like that. *hugs*

Hi @zamale

I feel for you, and echo everyone else's comments. It's wonderful that you donate plasma/blood. I am very embarrassed to say that I can faint on sight of blood, and I did get very woozy on the one time I did try to donate, and was told in no uncertain terms that they did not want me! I think you live in Melbourne, if you ever want to catch up in person, I am very happy to.

Thinking of you and sending hugs and good wishes.

@carieoates, you can't have updated your progress tracker in a while! The dress looks fabulous, you look great in your "avatar" too. :) I think you are quite tall? Therefore BMI is not the best measure of your weight status (not that it seems to be anyway!!)

Well sassy, @sassy1that's just goes to show that numbers arent everything.

This pic was taken yesterday...... 12 st 11 today. I'm an avid exerciser. Doing at least four high impact classes a week and doing 12k steps a day. Have been 12.16 at my lowest when very focused. Not that it really matters but I had a hysterectomy just before Xmas and was exercising exactly 6 weeks after. Latest gain has been due to six weeks Hols because I work in a school.
There you go numbers everywhere. My goal is 11 st 11 as I'm made up of a lot of muscle. So BMI isn't everything and fat percentage is very important to me,

Hi Caroline @carieoates

I think you must be about 7ft tall to be that weight and look so slim! :D but as you say lots of muscle :) You certainly put in the effort with the exercise and it definitely has paid off. Best wishes for losing the remaining pounds. :D
