Hello all Melbournites!
Does anyone from this fair and foodie city fancy meeting up either on the 14th or 15th December? I thought if anyone did and let me know which date suits, we could go with the one that suits most people.
Given that Melbourne city centre has a preponderance of chocolate cafes, maybe Lindt or Koko Black might be a goer for a festive choccy fix (always combined with Xmas chopping of course!).

Hoping to hear from you, well, someone!!

Great idea but I'm out for this year - I have my sons wedding on the 14th then it's just too close to christmas for me.

Thanks. Cheers MAGGIE.

I'm up for a meetup either day - it'll be nice to take the train in for a bit of choccy!

Excellent stuff!

We'll sort out a date very shortly, I'm thinking the 14th at this stage, and open to where to go as well. I will need to go into 'Treats from Home' while I'm in the city to stock up on Walnut Whips and Mini Cheddars!

Sorry, I can't make it. But what's this about Walnut Whips?! Where is this "Treats from Home" place? I haven't had a Walnut Whip for years!!!!

"Treats from Home" sells goodies from the UK. Popped in there last time I was in Melbourne. Forgot when I was in Sydney earlier this year.

Noticed M&S (in Hong Kong) are selling normal and supersized walnut whips, or whatever they call them.

Missed this topic earlier.
Would love to meet up but will depend on the time. Afternoon tea time is best for me on Saturday 14 Dec.
Given a number of people can't make it, perhaps we could organise a second meeting in the New Year?

Excellent Sassy!

I have attached both the Lindt and Koko Black websites for you all to drool over(and yes, I am fasting today!).

http://www.kokoblack.com/salon/collins-street/

What do we think to 3pm on Sat 14th December at one of the above? I shall make sure I book as it could be busy. Unless you have an alternative chocolate emporium you prefer?

Chook, you'll just have to come in for another meet up and press your nose against the window of TFH!!

Only saw this now as I was away for the weekend - would have loved to join you but unfortunately I can't make it on Dec 14. Love Lindt and Koko Black too... Perhaps another meetup in the New Year?

Happy with either, haven't been to either - possibly a preference for Lindt, but that is only because I haven't heard about the other place. If others have tried both, they could recommend which they prefer - assume you have Debs?

For those who can't make it, any suggestions for how early in the New Year we could aim to meet - and I assume weekends are best?
Ok,
Sassy, of course I have tried both!! :coffee: I have to say Koko Black wins for me, the original chocolate cafe in the little arcade of Bourke St Mall. It is definitely for ladies who lunch, lovely decor, high backed sofas. They do amazing iced chocolates, and a great place to get Xmas presses!!

I will pm you all closer to the time with meeting venue and my mobile number. :mobile:

:coffee: :cake:
