Re: moving from the marital bed

Before 5:2, before hubby lost his 52 pounds, his snoring was terrible!!! I had to buy one of these, and it possibly saved my sanity or our marriage http://www.amazon.co.uk/Marpac-Dohm-Spe ... ep+machine

I paid USD$50 for it, and it's fabulous. It's a mechanical sound machine, so the sound is really really great. And you can adjust it.

Best of luck. I know how very hard it is to deal with.

@zamale the snoring/ yawning man lives next door to my friend so,thank God, i don't have to put up with him...i would go insane if i had to put up with that!
However the man in the aprtment below me used to keep me awake with quite a loud tv on ..but he turned it down when i approached him about it
Its creeping up a bit higher again lately,so i may investigate the little machine you recommend @tracieknits x

Wow, now I am getting excited, this sound machine sounds exactly like what the c pap machine was like. My husband refuses to use it, so now i may have the option of this instead. So @Tracieknits you really like this device? I'm getting hopeful

My husband snores and often jumps (every 20 seconds for about half to an hour- yes, I've counted) :sleepy: - quite entertaining if you are not trying to sleep! He also gets up and goes to bed at different times to me and because I'm menopausal and a bad sleeper at any time, we've slept in separate rooms for about a year now.
Of course I move back in sometimes, - when we have visitors staying and the spare room is occupied!
It works well for us, and I can read in bed whenever I want!

Yes, I really really do! BruceE's snoring was quite bad 52 pounds ago. I have this machine on my bedside table, right by my pillow. I would crank it all the way up to it's loudest position and put my head near it and couldn't hear a darn thing!! I couldn't sleep without it and even took it with me on vacations.

Not really relevant here, but I usually sleep extra well after a fast day.
Snoring is a real nuisance, I feel for you.
