Onwards and upwards, an update!
08 Oct 2014, 18:35
Hello my fasting friends, it's been a while eh?
So much has happened I can hardly believe it. Firstly I went off fasting for a while but am back on track, mostly. Still a size 14 so I'm not too disappointed. Been very hungry probably due to all the stress and work I've had to do over the last month or so.
My house is up for sale after a very intense time of de cluttering and packing up 90% of my belongings. I think the staff at the recycling centre are getting suspicious of all the stuff I am getting rid of lol.
I am having an open day this saturday.Fingers crossed I will get offers very soon.
Then there were the repairs and finishing off things I started 5 years ago before I got depressed. Decorating came next which meant I was painting the whole house almost until midnight most nights. Got the front garden sorted too at huge cost but there is now plenty of kerb appeal.
While all this was going on I got a solicitor at even more cost but it was worth it. I closed the business last Saturday and will be free of the lease and out of my business premises on Friday. It didn't cost me as much as I feared. Best of all it has set me free.
The following weekend I am off to Glossop to view 7 houses over the weekend and hopefully I can put an offer in on the house I want if I like any of them.
When I get back I have a place to work for a couple of days a week to give me some income until I move.
I've been in limbo for what seems like ages but it all feels real now and very exciting. My life is about to change radically and I cannot wait.
I am looking forward to being back here more often and losing the weight I put back on. x
Woohoo @drilakila you ought to go post on @Wendy Darling's Decluttering thread, lol!

Seriously tho well done on all you've done over the past few months - really taken the bull by the horns! Good luck on your trip up to Glossop, I bet there is a little house up there just waiting with your name on it!
:clover: :clover: :clover:
Thanks for the update Drila!
Life sounds hectic but exciting! Good luck with it all xx
Great to hear your news. You sound so positive and upbeat. Have fun house hunting.
Hey Drila Miss you here. Come back when you are ready. Good luck with everything going on for you right now.
Oooh I'm jealous! Much as I live my little subtropical island, I miss walking in the Peak District!
Congratulations and sounds fantastic!

Just maintaining with all of the stress you're under is a wonderful achievement :-)
Oops! Time flew by again but here is the latest update!
Fell off the wagon big time but as I had thrown away all my size 16 jeans I knew it was time to get back on that wagon as the size 14's were getting tight and uncomfortable.
The scales told me I had put on 5 kilos which isn't a great surprise given that I had been bingeing and failed a few fasts. Too many packets of crisps, bottles of wine etc etc. I struggled at first but this week has gone better and I have lost 2kilos. So good that my jeans are no longer killing me!!!
My house was on the market for all of four days before an offer was put in which I accepted. The third house I looked at I fell in love with and my offer was accepted on that! I found a yard for my horse a mile from the new house and got a call from the owner last night to say there was a stable for her from the beginning of December.
Contracts have been signed so all I am waiting for is exchanges, mortgage paid off, new house paid for and money in the bank! I have a removal company on stand by so to speak. My son is going to supervise the loading and my best friend and I will drive animals and my two cars up to my new life before dark. We will be sleeping on the floor in the new house and wait for all my worldly goods to arrive the next day. Things could not have gone smoother!! Fabulous.
I have been madly sorting and packing, it feels like a never ending task but slowly box by box things are getting done. 10 years of crap to sort and I have sold a lot of stuff on eBay. It's been hard going through old belongings but cathartic. All that baggage gone! Physical and mental lol.
My Dr thought I might have thyroid problems as night sweats and hot flushes have got much much worse. Damn this menopause, it's been going on for 10 years!!!! My blood tests came back normal. In the meantime I started taking kelp capsules and my night sweats and hot flushes have almost gone within a day or so of taking the kelp. Not mention my skin is less itchy and dry. It might just be a placebo effect but I am so glad I don't care!
Fasting has become enjoyable again. I have dropped my anti depressants by half and feel great. I bought a 'nutri bullet' juicer and have been upping my veg and fruit and loving it. Have to watch the calories tho as fruit can be high lol.
fasting today. I wonder what's for dinner! x
