Kelp has high amounts of iodine and can boost thyroid function in some people. BUT you have to be careful as you can damage your thyroid. If your thyroid problems are due to an autoimmune attack on the thyroid iodine can worsen things.
Oooh really? I use iodised salt as my mum had a slow thyroid and mine is borderline. It seems to help. Thanks @Carorees :0)
