PMs
26 Aug 2014, 17:15
I have received PMs from about 8 members now re PMs that seem to have originated from me. I have not sent a PM to any of the people who have contacted me so I am as mystified as everyone else about this.

Ballerina x

It was the one you sent to SD. Don't know if it was just all the brainstormers who got it or everyone else too. Don't know why but I got all the messages to you too about them receiving your pm

I've asked @Moogie to look into this. It seems that the brainstorming groups were accidentally included in your pm @ballerina, how that happened I can't tell. Hopefully Moogie can.

As far as I'm aware this is a one-off.

@carorees, when people responded to the original message, the reply went to everyone included in the first one!
Is there a gremlin in the system trying to arrange a meet up?

Is it possible to check if the reply all or just reply was triggered on the reply? I.e if you click reply, what shows in the recipient box?

I clicked reply and it only shows Ballerina in the recipient box. There only seems to be one message in my outbox too, also to Ballerina. I have asked in my message if all recipients would please reply to it. This seems not to be a frequent occurrence so I'd like to think there's nothing wrong with the system and happened by accident, but will look into it as far as I can with just this one example.

Yesterday I was one of the people who received a copy of a message from Ballerina to SD. I replied to both that I had received the message by mistake. Two other people then PM'd me that they, too, had received the original message, plus the one from me.

Hope this helps if you need info to untangle anything.

All I can see is that the messages were sent to both groups, @Ballerina and @Marybeth can you please check your outbox & sentbox to see if there are multiple copies of the message there or whether there's a single one marked as to both groups or to just the intended recipient?

Oh, also did you send from a computer or a mobile device? Can you try replying to the message again and make sure you only press the 'reply' button, and ask who receives it?

I got Ballerinas then every time someone replied to Bal I got it too those as new pm's  I didn't get your message to Bal @moogie

Moogie, my Sent box for that message says this:

To Silverdarling, Ballerina, Brainstorming Losers, Brainstorming Maintainers

I sent it from my laptop.

Now I'll try replying as you ask.

I got the PM and several responses about receiving in error-I'm afraid I just deleted the lot-but the brainstorming groups were named on ballerina's original to Silverdarling.

@moogie

My pm was exactly the same as MaryBeths all copied to both brainstormer groups, as usual on my android tablet knew immediately that ballerina hadn't sent to me so I pmd her but not sure if everyone was copied my reply as I received Mb + 2 others who said received in error.
