Very glad this thread was started.
A sad day for South Africa & for Nelson Mandela's family that he could not live forever! But the legacy he leaves has already made such an impact & I hope that he will continue to guide peace & reconciliation over discord & help to influence the continuing troubles in the world.

I haven`t been able to keep in touch on this forum. After M+S incident I was so angry that I sought talking therepy, but ended up having to go into Hawthorne Ward, St. James as a voluntary patient, (ie if you don`t` volenteer`, to go in they will section you. This use of blackmail is referred to in Code of Practice, Mental Health Act 1983.
I quote p28, 4.12:
The threat of detention must not be used to induce a patient to consent to admission to hospital, or to treatment, ( and is likely to invalidate any apparent consent`
I am seeing a solicitor Monday, am, and a new psychiatrist Monday pm. They would not let me use my laptop when I was in there, but I`m out now.
Sad about NM. I grew up in Chingola, Zambia. My father got a job in 1956 so I consider myself to be an African. I was busy reading A Long Walk To Freedom on my Kindle, and have the illustrated version waiting for me at local Library. Will collect it when it opens, photocopy the illustrations, and make a poster to display in my living room window. Work fast not hard.
