Re: The Liver Birds are here

I'm so jealous of the opportunity for meetup! Here in Central NY I participate in a class with a lovely lady who's lost 30 pounds doing ADF and who lent me Dr. M's book last April. But the other nearest I know of is @Tracieknits who is 200 miles and a 3 hour drive away.

I love the photos, thanks so much for posting them. I recognize Penny and Cally and I think I know which one is Ballerina, but I don't know who is who of the other three sassy ladies. Give us a clue!

Looks like you are having a wonderful time

Yes I'm the same. I recognise Penny, Cally and is that Candy in red? But I don't recognise the ladies on the right!

Glad you all had such a great time together! Now I look forward to hearing about the East Anglia meetup!

You obviously weren't looking at the pictures of the Chester meet carefully enough!

Left to right
Me, Callyanna, Candicemarie, Ballerina, Barbarita, Merlin.

I had a lovely time and just wish Candice and Ballerina could have joined us for lunch..... next time, I hope you will.
I left next to get home to puppy (all was well) and I left the other 3 in conversation.
I did take a photo of my lunch, which I'll post a bit later.

Thank you, dear @ballerina for our 'goodie bags'.

I had an interesting train journey to Liverpool; 3 ladies got on with walking boots and I asked them where, in Liverpool, they were walking. After a little conversation, it transpired they were retired teachers from my old school, though I had left before they joined. We spent a good few minutes swapping long forgotten names!

Anyway, to cut a long story short, I've had a brilliant day and can't wait to meet the lovely ladies from this board again!

Just home now as I went to Primark after our lunch and treated myself to a few bits.
Had a really lovely day, having previously met Penny and Merlin meant we'd already 'broken the ice' as it were but we needn't have worried as CandiceMarie, Ballerina and barbarita were soon chatting away with us like old friends and the time just flew!
Thanks for recommending the BistroFranc CM, enjoyed my lunch. I wasn't as restrained as Penny and Merlin despite having a cake with my latte in JL I went for the 3 course lunch menu. Didn't take a pic but had smoked salmon and prawn pate as a starter, slow cooked shin of beef in a red wine sauce which came with new potatoes, broccoli, carrots and red cabbage, followed by tarte au citron. Don't think I'll be eating anything else today!
Thanks so much ladies for your friendship and company, here's to the next time! xx

There was certainly no holding back, foodwise, for the fasting buddies today!
I do have to say, though, that the JL cakes were rather dismal. My cheese scone was as dry as dust and as dull as ditchwater. Good job it was free! I think I only ate it for that reason!

 Well, that was fun, when I arrived there was already Penny, Cally, Merlin and Barbarita getting on like a house on fire. Cd arrived about 5 minutes after me in a tidal wave of hugs and kisses and a tsunami of liveliness. What great women, between us we have contributed the thick end of 400 years on this planet, how good us that? After a lot if chatter we all left for our various other things. Hubs and I popped into the Beehive for a drink and when we came out it was raining so we decided to have lunch a little earlier than planned so off we went to a lovely Italian restaurant. We then set off for the Albert Docks. I did wonder who Albert Docks was and speculated they he may be a distant relative of Albert Hall, you never know! Next was the Cathedral, WOW! Impressive! We are now in the Adelphi hotel getting our strength back before catching our train back to mil.

Thank you ladies for a lovely time, it was not long enough and Penny, don't forget what I said about your avatar, told her she needs one that shows how attractive she is because she IS!!!! Also, were you wearing your new top, it is lovely and really suits you.

Forgot to say that my recently repaired tooth gave up the ghost during lunch so another trip to the dentist for me grrrr.

Love to all and thank you for a truly wonderful time,

Ballerina x
