Hi everyone, I'm in Melbourne.

Hi Caro, Not sure where that is but it's nice to know there's
someone reasonably local out there. How do you feel you are progressing with 5:2. I started mid February and have lost around
2 kgs, but it's slow progress. I will stick it out for another few
months and see how much I lose and take it from there. I find the fast days quite easy and the feast days not so easy. I tend to eat more than I should, hence the slow weight loss. It doesn't feel like being on a diet though, so I will hang on in there.

I live in Boston now but lived in Perth for a year in 2005. It was a lovely place. Miss the Aussies very much. I don't know that I'll ever see that part of the world again. Sad.

Hi there!
I'm from Sydney, just finished my second week.Hubby is working up to it! lol
I heard 5:2 being discussed on ABC radio and liked the thought of only having to think about dieting for 2 days a week, not having that feeling of dread at social outings knowing you would break your diet and
feel guilty etc.
So far have lost 2kg, not expecting to do that well from now on though.
Good luck everyone!

Hi all,
I hate to say it but ... Sutherland Shire. I do leave it occasionally, though.

Thanks Gigi55 for that. I just listened to a podcast of Richard Glover and Michael Mosley last night. I wasn't sure how old it was. Was this on Drive recently?? I had assumed it was an old broadcast. Is this the ABC broadcast you are referring to? Thanks, Fish.

Hi all yet another Aussie here. I heard about 5:2 on the ABC early Feb. so I got the book on my kindle and started straight away. Weight loss has been slow but my clothes are fitting again so yay to that. Got hubby onto it too. Been a nice day here today hope the weather holds for the rest of the weekend.

Hi Fishbaum,
The item I referred to was about three weeks ago on Drive. I didn't hear an interview, just Richard talking about himself being on the diet.( I actually didn't hear the beginning so I think that's right!)
I'm fasting again tomorrow which will be the start of my third week.
Nice to have some company in Sydney and the rest of Oz.
I feel sorry for all the Northern Hemisphere dieters suffering through the extremely cold weather and feeling cold. Somehow I don't think our winter will compare!
Gigi
