Hello all, another from Australia here.
We have been going for 2 weeks now, hubby who doesn't need to lose weight has lost 2 kilo!
I have lost 200g....and I don't eat all the lollies, chocolate etc he does! Why is it allways like that?
I am insulin resistant, perhaps that has something to do with it.
I find the fast days relatively easy, hubby hates them as he is used to snacking all day.

I'm at Collaroy. Good to know there are a few Aussies here. Heard yesterday that Richard Glover's interview with Dr M is now a podcast on ABC radio, so will listen to that today. Yesterday completed my 10th fast. The fasting is ok, but losses have stalled, so feeling a bit despondent. :frown: This forum is just great for inspiration to stick with it. First time I've tried "forumming", so lots to learn. Good luck everyone!

Collaroy!! I am from Sydney, Nepwort. So Dottiyam your just around the corner from me. Perhaps we can meet up? I am busy the next two weeks but after that maybe? I am female btw. Stalled huh. Could be loads of things. Maybe you are eating too much? Too much protein or carbs. Have a a look at what you are eating on a calorie basis. Not just fast days.I have done 5 or 6 fasts so far and lost 2 to 2.5 kilos. It fluctuates!

I'm in St Ives - we could meet in Mona Vale.

That would be nice. In about two weeks? Ha! How will we recognise each other?
Look for gaunt hungry folk? Where some themed colour? Suggestions? ;)

:like: Ok, I'm up for it. Just tried to pm you Pilchards, and couldn't work out how to do it. I agree, Mona Vale is easy for all. Where and when? Can you do weekdays or w/end? We could meet in front of say, the library. First suggestion - Fri after 12 noon I'm up that way each week so that's my first option. Maybe you guys are more forum savvy than I am, should we make arrangements offline using pm? Not sure of the protocols. :?:

To any co-fastees in Sydney: I plan to visit the Maroubra Beach outdoor gym, (free open-air steppers/bike/pulldowns etc) at 9.30 am Thursday 25 April for about half an hour. I'll wear a white t-shirt with Komodo National Park on it! Easy to spot me! Coffee or water after a safe workout anyone? Ciaou for now, sandcastle.

G'day all,
I reckon I'm a fairly standard aussie bloke from N.E. Vic with the usual vices of a 60 yr old in this "lucky country" - eat & drink too much. Happy to join in with our 5:2 community.
