Both OH and I use my fitness pal and find it ace. I can track foods. recipes and meals, which saves so much time. Haven't got time for any other site (except for a foodie one!!)

I think that MFP is great as a freebie. I've used worst sites that I've paid for in the past. I only tend to use it on fast days to ensure that I keep below my calories. However I have had a piggy week this week so will use MFP to keep on check this weekend.
I use 'live strong.com My Plate calorie tracker'. Gives cals info, on-going weight graph, daily record etc. there is a group forum but I don't use it as I have you lovely folk! It was a free app for iPad.
I use MFP and find it helpful. It does have some things I question like 5 cals in black sugarless coffee! It find it a good way to keep an eye on what I am eating.
There is a group for 5:2 on it.
I like it, but you must use it as a guide only, the actual calories may be a bit out but it is directional.
I find the success stories with Pics truly inspiring, and also very directional in the actual time required to achieve success, my usual 4 or 5 weeks won't cut it!
It's nice to "talk" with Americans and Australians etc, I love the internet for that.
I have a few "friends" and it's nice to hear others progress and feedback.

My husband, close friend and I have been fitness pal friends for about 18 months. It is great to use as a calorie exercise guide. Don't use the forums as there is not much science to calories in, calories out. I use it now a couple of times a week to make sure my non-fast days don't get out of hand but it is a relief to think I don't have to count calories for the rest of my life.
My husband can't do 5:2 as he is diabetic so he is reliant on MFP to keep track of his calories and exercise. He wouldn't be without the ap on his phone.

I've been using mfp for about 8 weeks, and find it really helps on fast and non-fast days to keep track of my snacking and wine calories! I was happy using the calorie counter in the book, but since that's been passed on and converted another 2dieters this is just great. Makes you realise how many calories are used up just cleaning the house!
Hi, I have been using MFP for about 2 years. I find good to check what I eat and I like the variety of tools they have. I do have a lot of people there that help and encourage me.
I will keep using it probably more for the social aspect and to make sure I dont go over on my TDEE days. I never lost any weight using MFP unfortunately.
Happy Sunday

I've been using MFP for about 18 months. I find it so simple to use, especially for brand-name foods when I haven't got the packet handy. I love that I can enter my own recipes and MFP will do all the nutritional calculations for me. That's great for devising 5:2 recipes. Previously I used it to record my food intake nearly every day but dieting that way was getting to be a drag. Now I only use it on fast days and it really keeps me on track. I keep my account strictly private and don't use the forums there.
How do you set your fast day calorie intake in MyFitnessPal for Android mobiles? After asking your age, weight, target weight, height, etc. it comes up with a daily calorie limit. But this is based on the assumption of calorie reduction every day -- not just two days a week.
With MFP set it to maintain your weight, those are the calories you should consume on non-fast days. And/OR you can fill in the information on our Progress Tracker, you will be given a TDEE amount, the big number in the block is for a sedentary life style in the paragraph are TDEE's for more active people. Somewhere within the 2 numbers you are given with the progress tracker and mfp you will find your daily non-fast day TDEE. The TDEE's are only guidelines but do give a good idea of where you should be, especially helpful if you aren't losing.
I use my fitness pal, but I don't do the logging-in-forumy bit. Didn't realise there was one to be honest. I just log my calories and exercise along with weight and measurements etc. it's really handy for that.
I use MFP but only just realised recently that there are forums. I like how people add you out of the blue! The actual forum here is much nicer to post in threads and have conversations but I like the status updates of MFP.
My long-distance boyfriend has it too so we keep an eye on each other, and it's nice when people comment and keep you motivated My username is bpalferys if anyone would like to add me!
