Hi Abbie, wildmissus, chichi13 it seems that most people have other plans after all this weekend...unsurprising really as it is a bank holiday! I'm not quite sure yet of when I'm free exactly...DS is doing a sponsored walk which should end at around 1.30 and there's a pig roast at the end. I'm not sure what time he'll want me to pick him up. I could aim to get to the Swan for 2.30 but can't guarantee it. I had thought this wouldn't be a problem if there were going to be lots of people but if that leaves only three...

What do you think? Do you want to go for it? I'll know more about the sponsored walk plans this evening.

Wildmissus, are you going to be in Worcester itself? I'll be meeting DS near the cathedral, so perhaps it would be easier to meet near there? There's a cute little café just round the corner next to the cat park...so small we'd have no trouble recognising each other! DS could just come and find me then. Just a thought...

If only that wasn't a typo.
A cat park sounds like just my sort of thing, and certainly something I'd make hubby drive me to! :D
I had wondered what a 'cat park' was ... thought it was unique to England! lol
Betsygr8, when my daughter lived in Encinitas CA there was a wonderful doggie beach - I think it is a wonderful idea! Great to see all the dogs having so much fun!
Yes, there are many dog parks through out California, not too many beaches allow dogs though and it is great fun watching them all play in the surf. And honestly, I thought Caroline was talking about a 'big' cat park, kind of like a zoo. :)
ROTFL!! Sorry about that.

Anyway, I've managed to wriggle out of having to pick up DS after the walk so meeting at the Swan would be possible if there are enough of us.

I would suggest carrying a copy of The Fast Diet book as a way to recognise each other...but I only have an electronic copy!
I've just had a look on a map and the swan is about half an hour from where I am - perfect! I am definitely up for this! 2:30 still the time that suits everyone? As to how we will recognise each other.... Blind luck?
OK looks like there's only three or four of us. How to identify each other? Well you know what I look like! We could meet in the car park (no cat park at this pub!) and l could PM you my car details and mobile no. Or I could print out a screen shot of the forum front page and carry it prominantly or stick it in the window of the car. Or we could carry a rose between our teeth (or perhaps a tape measure!). l think my preference is the first option!
Sounds like fun, do those of us who can not make it due to being oceans apart get to share the joy
Well? Did you all meet up? Would have enjoyed meeting up with you all but it's just a bit far and expensive at the moment. :)
We're meeting tomorrow! Will report back!
Yes, I'm here in Worcestershire. Shopping in Worcester tomorrow. 2.30pm at The Swan car park. I'm the one with the purple handbag and the tall skinny friend, wee silver car. Caroline Pm me you car details.

Sent you a pm yesterday. Did you not get it with the site being down and all?
Oops, I'm not used to getting PM's. I've replied with my details.
Got it! See you there!
