Oooh me thinks I'll try some of the bio-oil!! I'll share it with OH too as he's practically at his goal weight now and TBH I've been thinking his neck is getting a bit scraggy - I did mention it to him, in a nice way, but it still sounded a bit negative after the 2st he's lost and he's so pleased with himself (rightly so). Once I get nearer my goal weight I'm thinking I'll go the same way but at the moment my inherited double chins are still wobbly (always will be I know  ) but a bit of bio-oil sounds like it won't go amiss.

I had surgery on my face a couple of years ago (unfortunately not a face lift) and used bio oil on the scars every day once the stitches were removed. It was amazing as now you'd never know I had any scars after surgery, so it could be just as effective for stretch marks.

Hi everybody,

Still slithering around in my bio oil regime, like Merlin, I also like Boots Protect and Perfect and I sometimes use it about an hour after I've dipped myself in bio oil and yes Primark sells it which is where I got mine from.

Keep up the good work everyone,

Ballerina x

You're right. Thinner face does have more wrinkles. have seen many people though who have these lovely chubby faces and the perfect figure too. Not skinny people but they are just right. Skinny people don't have chubby face

We have just started to visibly notice the effects of my husband's weight loss from 5:2 on his face. He had quite a big double chin and now it's not so much wrinkled but a bit wobbly/loose-fleshy/jowly (if you know what I mean?!). Do you think Bio Oil will work too tighten up loose skin?

Hiya!

You don't need just an anti-wrinkle cream, since your wrinkles are already there.
What you need is something to reduce the wrinkle but you also need a firming cream.

Regarding getting the wrinkles look less deeper, the best product is Tri-aktiline instant deep wrinkle filler. I've seen quite a difference since I started using it. It is an expensive option but it does have a cheaper equivalent which is Balance instant effect wrinkle filler.
I get Tri-aktiline from Boots and Balance from Amazon.

You will use any of the above under your facial cream. I wouldn't change No7 Protect and Perfect for the world but perhaps the Lift&Luminate series is better for older skin and it's certainly better for the skin that has lost its firmness due to weight loss.

An additional trick for the ex-double chin and a very cheap one is... cold. Cold is the best way to firm one's skin. So, dip a towel in ice cold water, squeeze the excess water and place it on your neck for at least 10 minutes.

Haylow. I agree with you regarding bio-oil and scars. It's magic!!
Now I use it in the hope that it will work the same on the old wrinkles.
So far looking good!

Well I have tried a few...expensive...things and the best thing I have ever had done is the derma roller - I paid for a professional to do it but u can do a slightly less dramatic version at home. Apparently you have to get a quality roller or it can damage the skin. The D.R gets the collagen going again - made a huge difference to me...I am planning on buying one for home since the pro job is expensive.

I have extremely dry skin at the best of times and have just discovered Johnson's baby light oil spray. Just a squirt or two applied to my face and neck. It really moisturises my skin and is soon absorbed. I found the anti-wrinkle creams in pharmacies were dragging my skin and making the wrinkles more pronounced.

Just remember that oil blocks your pores. If you want extreme moisture, you can find a neutral panthenol cream and use it over your anti-wrinkle cream. I use E45 cream sometimes.
