Just noticed tonight that the forum now has 6950 members - wonder if it can make 7000 before Moogie gets back from her hols?? :victory: :victory:

This morning it's 6962! So that's 12 people overnight! Should do it by the middle of the week I reckon :-D

If we don't reach 7000 before I'm back from my hols, I'll fast for a week ;)
That is to say that with an average of 60+ members signing up each day (less on Saturdays) I can be pretty sure we'll get to 7k before Friday!

Its tipping down in the lakes today and hubby has fallen asleep, so guess its a quiet one at the lodge until we go out for dinner later. Defo been eating too much (shouldn't have brought a big box of shortbread with us! Or those chocs.... And wine...) and really want to fast, may try to fit one in tomorrow. After that we'll be fishing most days and I don't fancy fasting while out on a boat - what with how much water I drink on a fast and how many toilet breaks I'd need!

Hi there,

Where can you see the actual number of members? 7000 is quite a few methinks. And you are right, it is a VERY GOOD forum. Moogie, enjoy the rest of your holiday! Please don't worry about the fast, plenty of opportunity for fasting once you're home.

Moogie, since you're checking this on your holiday, I seem to remember you have experience managing other forums as well.

I was wondering if we should be careful what we wish for, because we just may get it. At what point does a forum like this get too large, too popular, or does it?

Hi Josie - it's on the home page, right at the bottom, on the right hand side, under 'statistics' - it's now at 6990!

Moogie - that's a safe bet if ever there was one! :-D!
