I like to treat myself to a nice bunch of flowers. I buy myself them every time I lose half a stone. I feel very proud every time I look at them and find them a great motivator.
Had a few weekends away recently so taking a little longer to reach the next target. I only have 2lb to go so who knows, could be very soon!

I've changed my treat. I was going to get new clothes when I reached a certain weight, but for some reason, I still can't do it. I think maybe I'm still scared of putting it all back on again.

Anyway, after reading on here about sketchers go walk shoes, I've indulged in a pair of Mary Jane's. I will have to wait till I get back to the UK in a few weeks to collect them though :)

I'm going to reward myself with clothes once I've got to my goal weight. I might need a few to tide me over, but once I'm at goal weight, I'm going to get some decent quality clothes.
And books. Because books are always the answer.

Great post! I love the ideas of buying clothes and getting a haircut. I actually keep a written list by my desk of non-food treats and activities to make me happy (that sounds corny, but I also suffer from depression, so sometimes I need the list at hand). Some on my list that haven't been mentioned yet are:

Smaller, daily things (to help get through a difficult fast day):

lay out in the sun for 30 minutes (maybe in a bathing suit that didn't used to fit?)

buy and listen to some new, upbeat songs on itunes

watch something funny

drink a cup of chocolate tea (only a couple of calories, but helps with that chocolate craving)

play with kids (yours or someone else's), laugh and be silly

smile (even if you don't feel like it)

stretch

meditate

Do something creative (draw, write, craft, photography)

Take a hot bath

Visit with friends

get outside

Some larger treats for reaching certain weights would be:

A date night/afternoon with my husband (preferably doing something non-food related)

Buy a new gadget for the kitchen that supports healthy eating (for instance, I just purchased a zucchini-noodle maker), or a new smoothie cup or water bottle or something

Buy a new book (maybe a healthy cookbook)

Pay someone to clean my house (with four kids at home, this is always on my wishlist!) :)

Thanks BlueSkye, great list. I'm going to follow your example and copy out a list with everyone's great suggestions. Love the thought of a bath, with all my nice smelly Mothering Sunday pressies, then some of my favourite Body Shop body butter. Oh and have a good book to read whilst I'm lying there   Just mustn't go to sleep and drop the book in the water!

By the way - what's chocolate tea? :?:

Although I have still four stone to lose I have succumbed to some retail therapy because I love beautiful good quality jackets & Viyella had a really cheap sale of them. So I have three new autumn weight jackets that are two sizes down from where I am now that will be a treat to wear in six months time. I am slowly losing weight so needed a longer term incentive to keep going & the idea of not wearing them will really disappoint & irritate me.
I also have fat/thin clothes & have just switched around & unpacked my summer clothes & have found that I can now get into my smaller trousers!! & next week we will be visiting Bath & a treat will be going to the spa bath to soak in the warm spring water & then have a massage!!

Pammy,
Chocolate tea is pretty much just regular black tea with a little cocoa in it. It gives a nice, luxurious twist without adding any calories (well, maybe a couple). They occasionally sell it ready-made in the States, but I think you could just add a teaspoon or so of cocoa to your regular tea for the same effect. With a little skim milk and stevia its really great. :)

This weekend's treat (after spending every fast day at a restaurant or party--serious will power!) was a few new tops and a dress from Uniqlo. And a belt to hold up my loose trousers!

I loved going through my wardrobe and bagging for charity clothes that were too big for me, and discovering that I can now wear quite a few things that I haven't fit into for ages! I decided to buy myself a new pair of pants because I figured I deserved to wear something nice 'in between' as well!
