Since Christmas I am finding it difficult to load the forum, change topics, & add posts. I am accessing via an iPad & often find when I have selected a post to look at it comes up partly loaded with errors or is very very slow to open. My iPad is working normally for all other internet access so I am wondering if anyone else has found the same problem? could it be because of the popularity of this forum after Christmas?

It's been fine for me most of the time...whether using my phone, tablet or pc. I know Moogie has plans to upgrade the forum software sometime soon, so hopefully it will be able to cope with the massive increase in forum members we hope we'll get! Perhaps @moogie knows why you're getting problems.
Thank you Caroline I will await developments & hope my access gets better! But it's great so many more people are joining the forum
Hi Isis, I have problems too where quite often the page doesn't fully load so the layout looks all funny and I have to keep refreshing the page till it loads properly (which sometimes takes ages!)... if it is due to lots people signing up after Christmas then I apologize as I am one of those people!
I think at the moment it's a case of the server being really busy - we've had about double the daily traffic so far in January compared with December and I think it's causing a bit of slowdown. Hope to have news on a new server soon!
I haven't had too many problems with accessing this forum from my PC (I haven't tried that recently with my android phone which I have the Libra app installed on for monitoring my daily weigh-ins), but there has been the odd occasion where a particular page appears for quite a while to still be loading, even though I'm not having any problems with reading what is there.
I must add though, hat the recent increase in new members is very welcome and it has been very refreshing to see an increasing number of blog entries being written by new members who have just joined this forum in addition to the usual contributions from the old-timers on this forum which are still very valuable (that lets us all know that people are sticking with this WOL, as opposed to falling away from that as would be the case with any other method of weight loss or weight maintenance (that is particularly true at this time of year when a lot of people make a promise at the beginning of each year, to lose weight only to disappear off that radar by February)).
It would therefore be a shame to see this increase in new members being responsible for creating problems with the servers that this forum is hosted on.

I have had general internet problems all round. House router dropping out (need to address that)
3G mifi, which we take to the caravan - and find generally reliable - also dropping offline
3G dongle (yep, we do like our internet!) has only just let me top up - took 5 attempts.
Both tablet and laptop slow.
BT is doing some work in the village which might explain some of it, but not problems with 3G.

I've been struggling too ... I guessed it was down to increased traffic, but double the visitors?? That's brilliant, @Moogie, you must be so proud! Look what you created!
It would be great to locate it on a server that can cope with the numbers, I've been suffering withdrawal for not being able to post or read posts!!
