Today, being a non-fast day, I am off to my local city to have a wander around the Annual Food Festival. Now you can understand why a non-fast day is so important. Yummy samples all day long, especially good considering this is a very rural county and a foodies paradise.

I have also received a facebook message from my daughter, who is on holiday in Miami, showing off her sunburnt bum, which she got through too much snorkeling.

So what are you up to today, or what snippits of news do you have to share?
Sounds like a nice day Julie. It our 29th wedding anniversary today. Hubby has spent the day working on our new home, mainly installing the kitchen. Tonight we had a lovely bottle of Processco with duck and a freekeh salad. Oh and he brought home a dozen red roses.  :
Still windy up here in the North East, but sunny and blue sky - it's a fast day for me, so will be keeping busy, but also finishing library copy of 'The Cuckoo's Calling' (JK Rowling) as it's due back tomorrow!
Happy anniversary Wineoclock :cake:

Good plan Julie
Today I have the usual sunday lunch with my parents. No idea what my mother will cook but I know there will be fries or something like that.... Maybe I'll go for a ride after as it's quite a sunny day
Happy anniversary Wineoclock! Congratulations! :-)

You can't beat a good food festival. Almost feel I should head out over there...but it's a bit far. Instead, I am just off to walk my "girls" (no not my boobs...honestly!...my dogs!) the sun is shining so hopefully we'll avoid getting soaked. As for the rest of the day? Who knows?

Enjoy your Sunday everyone :-)
Congratulations Wineoclock.

Whats the book like Silverdarling?
Not bad so far ... Plot is good, it's keeping me reading. I do find her writing a little 'workmanlike' though ...

Good for a lazy Sunday!
Are you sure you want to know what I'm doing today?

It's cold and windy here today so it's a house day. I'm going to have a shower, go to Homebase for some tile trim, then to Morrisons for a food shop, home for lunch (soups and some nice bread), make Christmas cards this afternoon while OH finishes tiling the kitchen, Hunters Chicken for tea, ironing and finally slob on the couch later this evening.

You did ask! Enjoy your day everyone.
Another dog walker here, and another Christmas card maker, I have some cross stitch ones to mount(and more to stitch). Also the usual Sunday roast-no it is not a fast day. We are having a late start as we went to see Sweeny Todd last night and got back after midnight so I will probably skip breakfast.
It's a miserable cold, wet November day here so my main aim is keeping warm! Will be skyping my brother in Western Australia shortly then eldest son, DIL and two grandsons will be visiting this afternoon. No point in tidying up this morning as the house will be a wreck when they've gone, youngest grandson at 14 months is into everything and leaves his little handmarks everywhere but I wouldn't have it any other way. Think it's coffee time now... :coffee:
Day nearly over here. I went to the National LETs Conference. LETs is Local Energy Transfer system - it's a local currency. There are LETs systems all over the world, including here. I love it!! It was great meeting LETs people from all over Australia and even South Africa.

Then OH and I went to a National Theatre Digital recording of Macbeth at the local cinema. It was fabulous.

I made bread; I made butter; I made a lovely casserole of duck and vegetables, followed by a custard tart with cherries. Life was pretty good today.

Congratulations Wineoclock. 29 years! That's quite something!
Hadn't made plans as such for today and it's been a lovely morning so was considering a walk before a small lunch then a evening Sunday roast. But now its raining so have decided due to Julie's question to actually do something useful so I'm off to the kitchen to make my Christmas cake.
Enjoy whatever you get up to today one and all :clover: Sue
It's a sad day here as we move the caravan from our summer quarters to our home. If we have a decent spring, we will be out again in March, but will definitely be back here by April.
Hub has gone up the Lane with the dogs, leaving me to pack away the way I like. As hub doesn't drive, I do the towing!
So, I'm just catching up with the important things first, like seeing what you're all up to today.
Enjoy the food festival!
Oh Penny don't be too sad today because it won't be to long before you're re-packing again
Is your ''winter home also in Wales ? lucky girl 2 homes Lol

Beware this forum is adictive and the packing need to be done
:clover: :clover: Sue. :clover:
I have some jobs to do on the garden today. It's cold, windy but sunny, so ok gardening weather, but I'm not feeling great today, so I have decided to fast and read a book instead and if I'm feeling better later, I might get my boots on.......
