I'm hoping to make this a regular thing, a daily look at what people are doing today and other days.

So today, I am just waiting for the hot water to heat up enough for a quick shower as my eldest just had a full long soak and has used up all the water. I need the shower as I'm off for a massage straight after. Its my theraputic one, to get all the cramped muscles in my neck and back to relax and to get my pelvis re-aligned. She's going to have some work to do today, I'm a walking, limping wrck. I would make a good extra in 'Walking Dead' as I can't walk straight or upright at the moment.

Then this afternoon, probably undooing all the work the masseause will do I think I will get my garden bulbs planted, whilst the sun is shining and a bush dug up.

What are you up to?
Morning!

Joining you in the garden while the sun shines here in Wales. Lifting patio slabs from the front of our house and using them to build a raised plant shelf/seat thingie at the back. My husband is into bonsai and his territory is the back garden and I like greenery which will be in front - we are still bickering over the side!! Veges have been banished to the allotment and the children to the big green outside the front garden!!

Intended to fast today but too hungry and too much to do so have just had ham n coleslaw snack and will fast tomorrow when my children go back to school - teacher training today! That fab flexibility again.

Enjoy your day everyone
Forgot to say hope all goes well with the masseuse, Julieathome
Hi,
I'm desperately trying to think of reasons to get outside, because it's beautiful today, I've already nipped out to the Post Office to collect a parcel. Maybe we will run out of milk soon?
In the meantime, I have my head in a spreadsheet...
Hope the massage did the trick, julieathome, and thank you for reminding me to get some bulbs!
Good morning julieathome :-)
Today ive been sent home from work :-(
So Im relaxing .....think it maybe a chest infection but will stick with the lemsip until wednesday if still the same off to docs I go for some antibiotics.
I will be giving my 5:2 a miss today as I feel rotten but having made 4 st 7lb this week im sure it wont hurt .......happy fasting all :-)
I shall be walking for an hour to meet a friend, who will be walking for an hour from the opposite direction, to have a coffee and chat. I have the book "The hundred year old man who climbed out of the window and disappeared" for her as this is our November read in our book club. I always order 2 books from Amazon when we pick a read as she does not have an account with them. After our coffee and toilet stop we both head for home. If the weather is nice it is lovely and at the moment the sun is out so hope it stays that way.

Hubs had his 'man-flu' jab the other day and is feeling a little poorly so it will be nice to get out of the sick bay for a few hours after I've filled him up with painkillers etc  Men, honestly!

Ballerina x
Just home from my 30 min run, nic and sunny but some puddles iced over and very sloppy under foot. Julie hope you don't do too much damage with your gardening. allerina that is a super book I read it a while ago it had me laughing out loud quite often  Later my DH and I will be going to the woods to feed pheasants. I am on a Fast day today so that will pass the time.
LMAO Ballerina - sounds lovely though. Julieathome - I hope you enjoy your massage! Annurca - I wish it were gorgeous here today, but so far it's just cold! As in right now, it's 22F or -6C! We're looking at a high of 42/6 today.

Cherylhead I hope you feel better. Nessie-feeding pheasants sounds lovely!!

I am still trying to decide if today is a fast day or not. Hubby is out of town this week, and I hate fasting alone. The offspring likes to do things like go out to eat and have special dinners together with hubby is away, so I may just do 16:8 all week.
I am visiting my son and have just found a letter informing him that his estate agent will be inspecting his house on 6/11 so I am busy trying to clean it up! For some reason this doesn`t seem so bad as cleaning my own house, and it is some sort of exercise. Also busy reading Nelson Mandala`s autobiography as apparently Natalie Gumede`s grandfather is mentioned in it (he was first president of Zimbabwe-Rhodesia). If the dog`s lucky he might even get a walk!
I took my daughter to a hospital appointment this morning, and we found out her grommets have worked and her hearing is back to normal. HOORAY!

Then I picked my son up from preschool and he had the biggest ever tantrum on the way home. By the time we got home I was so frazzled I sent him to his room to calm down and had a cry in the kitchen. It's tough being a mum sometimes isn't it?!

After my daughter finishes school, we'll hurry home, get her changed for ballet and then after that it's dinner, bath and bed for the kids, I'll have a small supper (fasting today), hula hoop for half an hour or so and then snuggle up in bed with my Kindle.
Shortly, I'll be getting on a plane to fly back from sunny Malta (26°C) to cold UK :-(. Had a great holiday but almost no Wi-Fi...catching up on the forum while I wait at the airport!
Kids back to school and normal life resumes. I had a long run on the Heath today after I dropped off my son at school. After that I spent an hour unblocking our downstairs loo that had hubby's torn up receipts and son's entire loo roll stuffed round the U-bend. I successfully procrastinated for the rest of the morning, putting off the real job of the day, which is to try to re-write a scientific paper for publication. Now it's 2.15 and just an hour more of procrastination will shift the whole job to tomorrow.

Kids home at 3.30, son's piano lesson, quick supper for kids and then off to watch 2 hours of son's diving training. Home at 8.30 for supper, telly and bed. I think my poor daughter features in here somewhere, but not sure where.
Hi Julie and all. Hope all goes well with your massage--take it easy in the garden. We're having our first spell of really cold November weather here in Central NY state, so I'll have to put my winter jacket together--so far have just been wearing the separate inner jacket, but it doesn't cut the wind. I've just completed 2 miles of my walking DVD http://www.amazon.com/Leslie-Sansone-Wa ... B001AYWY5O and have now had my Fast Day breakfast--1/4 cup cottage cheese and coffee with 10 cal of half n half.

Around noon I'll walk to the senior center for Weight Training class, then later in the afternoon I'll do my one-hour volunteer shift at the library next door--putting in order the books in the Mystery and Science Fiction sections. Takes me 6 months to get through the 2 sections; it really should be done once a month but paid staff has no time and there aren't enough volunteers.

By then it'll be very late afternoon and I can have my "big" meal of the Fasting Day. Then veg out on the sofa with the latest Simon Brett (Charles Paris) mystery. (while feeling guilty about all the edifying non-fiction books on the table that I've been ignoring)

I didn't respond, yesterday, Julie, because I was having such a lazy weekend and feeling too guilty about it all.

Hope everyone has a great Monday :clover:
Firstly, have a safe flight Caroline...we've missed you!

Hope the massage went well Julie.

Ballerina? Your book sounds most intriguing. Is it any good so far?

Actually, talking of books, I've finally got stuck into this month's read: "Gone Girl". Struggled with it at first but feel it's getting going a bit better now.

It's a big moment for me tonight because I've got my appointment with my consultant and so by the end of today I'll know whether I'm going to have a breast reduction or wait until I've lost 2 stone first...doh!
Whoo Hoo! some good news in the post. I 'finally' have my follow up appointment at the hospital after my latest MRI. Said MRI was back in June, the appointment is in December! What use a 6 month old MRI will be to the specialist, is a question only he will be able to answer. But, I have the appointment, so I'm happy.
