Yawn! Its 02:02 here in the UK, so officially it IS Friday, but my plans right now are for some shut eye. I have finally managed to get this stream of threads started early enough to include our forum members from Australia and other exotic climes in their mornings (I hope). So please join in and tell us of your plans for the day. One day I hope someone will be telling us of a wedding or some such stupendous day.

My plans for when I do wake up include doing some filming (my husband and myself review e-cigs on Youtube), taking the car for its M.O.T and doing the shopping. I am hoping to get some metal drawer sides in the post tomorrow so I can continue building drawers for the larder unit as the 8X4 sheet of plywood arrived *yesterday* for the base fronts and backs.

I also plan on calling my daughter and finding out how her holiday went, she called from the airport on arrival and sounded as if she had really enjoyed herself, but being the nosy mother I am, I want ALL the details.

So Good Morning to you all, have a great day.
Hi Julie, you did start this early and now none of us Aussies have written anything. I have had the house to myself most of the day which is wonderful. I've cooked meringues, Anzac biscuits and mayonnaise.
Very soon I'm off to the house we are building to see today's progress. Things are going quickly now so today I should have the showers finished, the fridges in ( we have decided to go commercial) and concrete poured for the garden edging. Oh and my deck might almost be done.
I've already started planted herbs, lettuces, beetroot amongst other edible things so must water them.
So that's it, then back home for a g and t and a glass or 2 or 3 of Pinot Gris. Have a great Friday.
Hi Julie *waves* I am reporting in from Brisbane, it's Sunny and 26/82 degrees, which is warm considering I spent the first 30yrs of my life in Glasgow! I do not work on a Friday,so I have spent the morning shopping with my teenage daughter and this evening I am having Drinks with my Sister to help celebrate her Birthday :)
I'm almost finished my work day and planning to pick up some dry cleaning on the way home if it's raining, or walk from home if the rain stops (I need to get some activity in!). Tonight I have dinner with my extended family and I'm looking forward to seeing my two nieces.

Thank goodness today wasn't a fast day - someone brought in TimTams to the office and I'm afraid my willpower deserted me!
Hi Julie and Wineoclock-woop woop its nearly wine o clock here! Just finished grocery shopping and about to head up to Lawson ( another blue mountains suburb 20 minutes away) our Tennant of 10 years has just left so finally we can enjoy it as a weekender for 3 months while we freshen it up until we have to rent it out again. Last weekend was spent digging mud out of drains and lots of pruning but tonight we get to sit on the verandah and look at the beautiful eucalptys and mount tomah - with some lovely sparkling wine-bliss. The house is empty so I've shoved the car with bits and bobs. The best bit is - we didn't invite the kids. They don't seem to mind as they think wel'll hand them a shovel and pruning shears whenever they come too, :-)
Xx julianna.
@Winoclock - so exciting to see the progress of your new house. WHat a dream. Feel sorry for the poor buggers working in this 37 degree heat.
Good luck with the larder unit drawers Julie.
My plans for today are, 30 mins on the Cross Trainer, do the weekend food shopping then embark on a 5 mile walk with OH to a pub for lunch. He is a bit of a born-again walker and we did this walk on Sunday but had a meal planned, so weather permitting back there today for lunch.
An abstemious evening wine-wise, as there is a new Parkrun starting closer to me and I want to on good form for 9AM tomorrow.
Happy weekend to Southern Hemisphere folks
Visitors for dinner: prune and walnut log with King Island Camembert; artichoke balsamic tart with home made puff pastry; garden salad and new pink eye potatoes; lemon soufflé; oh and fancy cocktails with the nibblies. Busy cooking all day. Plus I made a chocolate bundt cake for another event tomorrow!
Back to some sort of normal today, after a week celebrating bonfire in Lewes. Working from home, and preparing for my eldest to come home this evening fort the weekend - first time since he started uni in September. I'm going to cook an Indian meal tonight, centered round a leg of tikka marinated lamb. Just wish I'd managed to catch up on my sleep.
For once I have something worth putting on this thread. Today myself and 13 family members are going to center parcs. We live 40 mins from elvedon forest so that's were we are going. Three generations with me the oldest and the youngest being my nephews baby at 18 months. Many center parcs virgins going including my sons girlfriend who seems to have moved in without me really noticing. I'm still not feeling 100%, Sod's law I suppose. Haven't even exercised all week, so must have been bad. So I wonder how much weight this weekend will cost. As I will definitely be eating some bread, birthday cake and chips. And maybe drinking a lot more booze than I usually do.
I could be going to sallyo's for dinner couldn't you with that beautiful menu, yum good choice.

Worked this morning, had a business lunch. Idled in the secondhand book shop and found a couple of books and now I remember I was looking for 'Gone Girl' drat. Am now contemplating dinner, have to rival Sallyo it will be pork medallions with a sauce which is based on soy bay leaf and garlic infused consume Served with a drizzle of cream. Leafy Salad and mash as sides. The meal will be washed down with a nice wine. Quiet night in
For now I wait for a technician who will do some asbestos and lead assessment, around noon I'll go for my hour cycling, after, lunch, shower, paperwork and a friend of mine will come for a drink.

A boring week day
I have to do a 'Kit Wash' ready for my 16 year old son (he is a middle distance runner). It's Cross Country season now so his training kit is usually full of mud! I also have a pile of ironing! Such a fun life I lead! Lol!

My husband has today off and is taking me out to lunch though  He works away a lot so nice to have some time together
Carrie I hope you will be feeling well enough for the waterslides at Center Parcs
School run done, filled up the car and washed it. A pointless exercise considering how muddy and wet it is on the woodland route I drive, really.

I'm off later to my favourite little restaurant soon for coffee and patisserie with my very good friend, who just happens to by hubby's step-mum (but don't call her that as she's only 8 years older than hubby lol) :)

Getting ready for weekend long house guests after that. Hairy Dieters cottage pie is defrosting, but I'm about to bake espresso brownies - new Donna Hay recipe. There will be sticky toffee pudding tomorrow, again defrosting. Finally I have some room in my freezer for a huge soup making day next week :)
I'm at a Veronica Falls gig in Tokyo... In a cute dress I couldn't have worn 6 mo ago!
