I plan on selling the really nice clothes I slim out of on ebay or at car boot sales, other people are going to donate clothes to the charity shop. But what do you do with the really old, stretched, worn and damaged clothing?

You Recycle or Upcycle them:
For example...

Add your creative craft ideas here.
An old jaacket, leather or artificial, or even a pair of jeans stiffened with iron on interface would work brilliantly here.

Dusters and cloths for my steam cleaner. neither crafty or imaginative I am afraid.
A favourite t'shirt, now miles too big?

the nice stuff is going on eBay, and with the money I'm buying the next size down. The rest can go to charity shops and become dusters. The kids can could always go camping in my old pants! ;-)

Loving your suggestion xx

On this one I have made the many strand necklace and am interested in turn a couple of my t'shirts into racer back t'shirts.

Handbag from jeans legs. (oh whoa is me, I threw out two of the lads pairs of jeans last week before I saw this)

A dress from an old pair of jeans? needs a sewing machine and a bit of skill I should think.

I should think this transformation would tighten up an existing baggy dress and keep it going for another size drop or two.

Amazing ideas Julie but as I said on Charity shop thread I've now donated loads today, dusters + car polishers basically with few 'rough' +baggy T shirts all gone thank god for ever, with my recent shopping trips (and yes some charity shops) gits from relatives + friends etc
I'm a new wardrobe person as from today :like:
Great feeling :clover: Sue
There's some good ideas on this website. I know there will be two sweaters at least that won't be suitable for this winters use, so for starters fingerless glove/ arm warmers will be made.

Good for you Sue. I can feel my fingers itching to get the sewing machine out and having a go at some of this stuff. Even if its just for fun. Some of the ideas will save me money. I spent 20 minutes earlier making 3 tote bags using the knotting, no-sew method. They will be just shoved in the boot (trunk) of the car and left till needed.
