Re: Where in the world are you?

Hi- another happy Sydneysider here.
However I think I left a little bit of my heart in Prince Edward Island 2 years ago when we visited the SE Provinces of Canada. When you mentioned it ClaireMarie it warmed my heart- such a pretty place!

Being an ex-nurse( notorious travellers, you can always easily get another job when you get home) and an Aussie means I've always been a big traveller so I also just love hearing the tales from other countries.

Not far from the border.

Shopshire, one up from the lady(I think) in birmingham and one down from the lady (I think) in Cheshire.

My parents used to live near wem where they could see the welsh hills in the distance.

We'll probably be talking about it for the next 10 years
And it's not over yet (hopefully)

I am from near cambridge UK. But would love to return and live in Auckland (where my sister in law lives) or Brisbane where my beloved friends are. Any one would do. I'm not greedy, honest!

You're probably right Emerald17! I can see myself saying,
"oooh do you remember the summer of 2013? So hot some days that you could fry an egg on the ground. Do you remember I was huge back then, heh heh!"

I'm near Hobart in southern Tasmania, Australia but originally from Woodley in Berkshire, UK. Emigrated over 40 years ago. My DH is from Vancouver, Canada, also been here 40 years.

Tasmania is the same latitude as Southern Spain, but in the southern hemisphere of course, and we get great weather here, not too hot like on the mainland (which is what Tasmanians call the big island above us on the map - the rest of Australia) and the scenery is stunning.

GMH, would bogan mean wild/crazy? I recall a reference to this word from watching 'Doc Martin'. I live in Boston US and love the 'Doc Martin" series that I have watched on local PBS channel and HULU(online).
