Why has my post been deleted?
03 Jan 2014, 19:50
I posted earlier in 5:2 Lab - a piece about a BBC article on fasting - now it's vanished. No idea why, it wasn't offensive or anything. And I've not even had a private message to tell me why. Thanks a lot. Not.
are you sure it actually posted? a couple of times I've thought I posted but it hadn't - I think I must have pressed/not pressed a button along the way!
@Vildekhaya your post wasn't deleted, it was merged in with another post on the same topic and article. post134724.html#p134724
So why did no one tell me? I logged in to see if there were any comments on my thread and I was baffled to find no trace of it. Would a PM really have been too much trouble? I wouldn't have ever known what you did if I hadn't asked why it had disappeared.
Sorry @vildekhaya, there were 4 threads in different places around the forum on the same topic, so I merged them all into yours. I tried to keep your topic title as it was the most useful, but couldn't work out how to do it! So all your stuff is there, plus other discussions.

I think there ended up with so many threads because it was a three or four part article on the BBC magazine site so each part got separately shared on the forum.

Please do head over there and keep adding to the discussion! post134724.html#p134724
No thanks. I just came back here yesterday after a longish break as I'd not found it too supportive here, not to mention cliquish, but now I don't know why I bothered.

I've not been using this forum for very long but have found loads more support here than in other places I have paid to attend on a weekly basis - no names (SW!) As far as I have seen everyone has the best of intentions here so negativity like this is really not necessary. Hope you find somewhere else where you fit in better.
Crikey, make me feel even more unwelcome, why don't you. I'm pleased you've found support here, I genuinely am, but your good experience does not mean that my own experience is invalid or wrong or imagined. Snarky attitudes like yours serve only to reinforce my perception of this forum as unwelcoming.
Thanks for posting @vildekhaya just the type of information to spur me along as I am fasting today. Think I will have to get my skinny bean OH to fast sometimes along with me for the benefits as discussed

I didn't say or imply any of that - was just trying to maintain a positive atmosphere, which is what we all need and thrive on. I don't appreciate being called "snarky" (although I don't know what it means but doubt it is complimentary). You are, of course, entitled to your opinions and I think we should leave it there as I would rather put my energy into something beneficial.
Sorry ladies, but I am closing this thread. I haven't done it before but I don't feel that this line of discussion is benefiting anyone. I am sorry Vildekhaya that you feel this way and good luck with your on going fasting journey.
