Some brilliant ideas here - thanks a lot, everybody!

Love the onesie discussion - rather glad I'm not the only one a bit taken aback by the idea but I hear those in favour!

I get my nieces jewelry quite often. I know their taste pretty well, though. Lately, the older one has been getting gift certificates to Pier One type places. She just bought a house. (That makes me feel old, but she did buy it at a very young age…)

No @43tweaker, you're thinking of the same thing. For some reason they were the latest big thing for teenagers this winter - I often have a house full of a dozen or so teens and most of them will be in onesies. They even go to the shops in them! I still maintain that they shouldn't be worn by anyone over the age of 3

This forum never lacks an entertaining thread or 10... No, it is not an undershirt that snaps at the crotch (what I was envisioning also). The images on Google just look like foot pajamas, without the feet, and may be silly but aren't quite the indecent image in my mind!!

How about an experience? A theme park, a movie, something touristy (like the Eye), theatre tickets, a restaurant voucher, go carts...

That's an interesting idea, thanks. I must do some research to see if this would work within my budget.

I have always found that they love something daft to entertain them, something childish and inexpensive, and then money is always welcome
