This is typically used for depression, but the gyna doc wants me to take 25mg for night sweats and sleeplessness. Don't ya love peri menopause.

My thing is I dont want to gain weight. Are weight gains seen with higher doses. I'm going to take alternate day of zoloft.
Chemist said if people did gain on zoloft it was because they felt good and wanted to eat, meaning depressed people dont eat? I think they can, though, everyones different.

This is a class of drug called a SSRI or selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor. Perhaps the best known one is fluoxetine (Prozac).

Yes, they do cause weight gain. I was offered it for menopause but decided to continue toughing it out. The list of side effects is daunting...
