1.5 lb gain
07 Aug 2013, 16:39
So at the end of my first week, I gained 1.5 lbs. I checked the calories on non fast days and didn't go over my daily intake of 1800.

I have the worst metabolism in the world. How aggravating.

You don't have a slow metabolism. You have water retention: 5-2-diet-chat-f6/topic6491.html

Think of this WOE as a black run at a ski slope. No one gets down with going over a few bumps along the way.

Except that here you won't risk damage to ankles, knees, frostbite, nor broken arm (!?), or leg ...

See? It's all good.

Welcome to the group. :-)

Hi,

I gained a pound in my first week too, and in the first 5 weeks lost just two pounds overall, but after 21 weeks, I've lost 16! So don't give up!

I started this for health reasons, (although hoped I might lose weight too), so wasn't too despondent when the pounds didn't drop off, and so I carried on with 5:2. Looking back, I know I was eating loads on food days, but now I'm eating better. That just happened, I didn't make a conscious decision.

So trust it, and keep going! :clover:
