Delighted or Disappointed?

Oh my goodness - just have to share my excitement!

Went out for Sunday lunch at a golf club today, with 58 others (members & partners from my WI). Getting ready, I was just about to iron my size 18 smart black trousers...when a little voice told me to try them on first. So I did...& found them rather too big - hurrah. Dug out some old size 16's & whilst I admit they were a bit of a struggle to do up comfortably, I was in a hurry & lacking in choices anyway. Teamed the trousers with a recently bought top...& off I went.

Honestly chaps, I am now walking on air! So many people came up to me to tell me that I had lost weight & looked good.....I nearly lost count! It is so thrilling when people start to notice - even if you are only doing it for you, it is still great when other people can see it working.

This 5 2 lark is really strange! I only took one small roast potato from the carvery, piled my plate high with vegetables & after a Prawn Cocktail starter....was not remotely tempted by a pudding!!

This is completely unheard of!!!!! What is going on with me???? Suddenly making sensible choices....willingly? Savouring the food I am eating & being able to watch others indulge without feeling hard done by? Un-be-liev-able!!!

I even tried moving to 4:3 this week - results of which will be in tomorrow.

What I am trying to say, in a very roundabout way, is how utterly thrilled I am to have found this WOE - it seems to suit me so well. Also, thanks to you all for the effort you put into this forum - which I find absolutely invaluable!

Have set myself quite a tough Easter Challenge.....so watch this space, because fat.....I am coming after you!!!

Oh congratulations! What a great feeling that people were so kind to notice and comment!!

Good for you :-)
You must be feeling on top of the world Hazelnut! Great result and motivation to keep going with this fab WOE!
It's so wonderful when people notice. I still haven't got used to it.
That is wonderful news and makes me feel that what I am doing will pay off not just for me but like you say by having people notice. It is the icing on the cake when someone complements you on your loss. It gives you the boost to carry on and feel good about a new you.
 Well done @Hazelnut20Those are the very best compliments ever and a great motivational booster.
Well done that absolutely brilliant.
Well done indeed @Hazelnut20 what a wonderful experience that must have been. I mean, it's one thing to realise your clothes size is smaller but to then have so many compliments?! How wonderful. I look forward to seeing your 4:3 results too...and Easter?! Good luck!

By the way, I notice you live in Somerset. Have you been affected by the floods at all?

Bean
Woo Hoo. I'm so happy for you hazelnut. It makes such a difference when people say these things. Smile on the outside as I know you're smiling on the inside too.
Thanks so much everyone for your kind comments :like:

I do feel so lucky to have joined this forum.

Hello Nursebean (would tag....if I knew how...!) - am fortunate to not be affected by the floods, though like everyone else, I have been watching the TV with horror at the devastation. I live on the Blackdown Hills, so we are high up, luckily......though the lanes around here have been pretty hairy at times these past few weeks....

After pressing "Tag" - do I then have to type in a person's username??

Sorry to be an old pain.......but I really don't comprendez :?:

Could you just do a "Tagging for Dummies" version (like the books!!) please.....when you have a spare mo!
