1st milestone reached :)
13 Aug 2013, 06:44
Both myself and partner are entering our 9th week of 5/2. We have both reached one stone off (sooo happy)

We don't live together but encourage each other through the fast days which are becoming easier now. Only one day was hell, with HUGE hunger pains around mid term, but those words of comfort, its only one day, we can eat tomorrow, are enough to keep going.

I am really pleased with the effect 5/2 is having on our outlook of food. I prefer to feel a bit hungry before meals now. I ask myself, do I really need that much on the plate and often take a bit off like a potato (unheard of before 5/2!).

Veg, fruit & salad are on the increase. For the first time in our lives, we feel in control of the food, not the other way round.

Still a way to go.... but its a start :like:

I'm Gill's partner, and need to say thank you, to all of you, for the encouragement and congrats on the milestone.

I know I don't post here, but lurk, and get encouragement from a lot of the posts here.

I've still got quite a way to go, but I didn't put it on over one weekend, so I will happily give it a year to drift off steadily.

Feeling generally healthier, and enjoying my food more, is more important than the weight loss though.

Cheers

John
