Delighted or Disappointed?

24 posts Page 1 of 2
This mornings cooler weather seems to have proven that water retention was my enemy the last week or two (a pound up and plateau'd the last 2 weeks) as I had a mini goal busting 3lb weight loss today. Taking my total loss so far to 30lb.

The mini goals were firstly a weight I struggled to get down to 5 years prior for a family wedding, and subsequently the last weight I can actually remember as being a low weight (for me of course). Second mini goal is to finally get under 18 stone, even if its only by a pound, I am now 17st 13lbs.

So that is Mini Goal 5 and 6 smashed in one go. :victory:

If it hadn't been for this forum I would have given up so many times before this, discouraged by the seemingly slow or even stopped weight loss, but 30lb is the weight my son was at age 3 and he was a lump to pick up then.

I will have a look around to find something that weighs the same as the weight I have lost and try to post pictures.

Don't give up hope, this 'Way of Eating' isn't startling, it isn't sudden, it SEEMS to have setbacks, but you can keep to this and keep rolling, until one day you realise that clothes are falling off, people are complimenting you and you can't physically lift the weight you have lost.
Well done, what a wonderful post to read. I hope you carry on succeeding this well :)
Wow, double congratulations to you :) I bet you have a smile like a Cheshire cat all day!
Wow Julie, just wow :victory: you should post on 'inspirational stories' too. This is just the very thing that anyone who is struggling needs to read. Very well done, keep going

Well done Julie! You stuck with yesterday's fast in spite of the hurdles and YOU DID IT! Fantastic! Whoop! Whoop! :victory: :like:  :)
Julie, I LOVE LOVE LOVE reading your post! Not to take anything away from those with BMI's of my left leg, that they lose some pounds, in fact I give those credit for getting on top of the weight situation before it gets out of hand. BUT when I see someone like ME, with a BMI in the higher regions, who are at this, and happy, and really getting great results with this WOE it really really encourages me. My BMI is also up there in the 40's, I know its not a healthy way to live, and Ive struggled with this all my life.

So, KUDOS and HIGH FIVES and Congrats to YOU Julie, for your great success and being one of my new inspirations!!

GO YOU!!

:)

Diane
I've just realised, I've also lost 4 inches off my waist as well.
That's brilliant - very well done indeed :victory: it's remembering the little mini milestones that get us through the plateaus sometimes, I think, so you've got some ammunition for the next one now, should it happen LOL :like:
