5:2 is helping my tennis game!
12 Mar 2014, 11:14
Losing 20 lbs and putting an emphasis on fitness has paid off in tennis. I can now get to shots I could never have gotten to in the past (and that's saying something, considering I'm almost 48!). Tonight I came from 1-4 down--with a couple of love or 15 games in there--to win 7-5, 6-1. I was running down everything, which has become my MO. Feels great. I feel like a new person!
Thats inspiring to hear Melinda, it would probably half kill you to try and play with a vest stuffed with 20lb weights. I've lost 45lbs yet I can barely lift that at the gym. It makes so much difference to so many parts of our lives losing the excess baggage.
Way to go Melinda! Perhaps I should break out my old racket and give it another go!
