Absolutely honey, though age 60+ Is apparently 8000 steps a day. I have managed this once this year. Time, weather, accompanying OH in the car, and many other excuses prevailing.
The fickle finger of fate finds fundamental fervour faded.

Although we know we can't possibly have put on pounds within hours,it IS very dispiriting to see that increase on the scales even if only temporarily..specially for @nursebeanwho's been so good ADF ing lately
Beanie i think you have the answer to your gain..if yr period is due,its just those pesky water retaining hormones. All will be well again in a few days! X

Yeah. 6lbs was a bit optimistic... But I think I am still heavier than my previous weigh in last week! So i'm going to weigh again tomorrow after my fast day today, enter that... and hope if I keep doing this I eventually see the line going down consistently...

I too gained 4lbs over the weekend and was at my highest weight in six months when I had my weekly weigh in today. It is dispiriting but I know that it can't all be fat so I am fasting today and hoping to shift some of it this week.

I did have a lovely weekend though - away with my OH  so it was worth it!

I have been known to put on 6lb in half a day. I used to get up, go to the toilet, then weigh myself. By bedtime I could have gained 6lb through water retention, and lost it again by the next morning. I do seem to have much better control of my water levels now. I just don't get the puffy ankles and legs anymore. That was probably 10lb of my weight there.

Try and remember that the number on the scales is only one indicator of progress!
Our bodies are working hard with this fasting thing and hopefully our health is improving.
And remember to measure! (begining to sound like a broken record ;))

How annoying, I thought I'd written a reply but it got lost! Anyhow, basically I just wanted to let you know that after my fast day yesterday I have now lost 3 of the 4 pounds gained. So come on everyone, get on those scales. You could be in for a great surprise!

Bean
